Clinical treatments employing a 3-dimensional computer-assisted endodontic access technique (CEAT-3D) to remove fiber posts from posterior teeth in a minimally invasive manner using computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD-CAM) technology are described. Three patients with symptomatic molars and periapical radiolucency and with different treatment complexities had been referred for endodontic retreatment. For the removal of the fiber posts and endodontic retreatment, 3-dimensionally printed guides were designed from intraoral and cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) scans with a digital planning software program.

The objective was to evaluate the performance of exploratory models containing routinely available on-farm data, behavior data, and the combination of both to predict metritis self-cure (SC) and treatment failure (TF). Holstein cows (n = 1,061) were fitted with a collar-mounted automated-health monitoring device (AHMD) from -21 ± 3 to 60 ± 3 d relative to calving to monitor rumination time and activity. Cows were examined for diagnosis of metritis at 4 ± 1, 7 ± 1, and 9 ± 1 d in milk (DIM).

Introduction: The radio electric asymmetric conveyer (REAC) is a technology that has the purpose of restoring the cellular polarity triggering the rebalancing of the endogenous bioelectric field, which considering the neurological dysfunctions, affects the neural communication mechanisms. The studies published so far show that the REAC neuromodulation technology has positive effects in treating these dysfunctions, with the principles of endogenous bioelectricity as a basis to achieve these effects.

Objectives: This study aims to review the literature that explored the effects of REAC protocols on motor control and to identify which mechanisms would be involved.

Summary: Genome annotation pipelines traditionally exclude open reading frames (ORFs) shorter than 100 codons to avoid false identifications. However, studies have been showing that these may encode functional microproteins with meaningful biological roles. We developed µProteInS, a proteogenomics pipeline that combines genomics, transcriptomics and proteomics to identify novel microproteins in bacteria.
