We retrospectively analyzed atlantoaxial dislocation (AAD) of various pathologies, namely, rheumatoid arthritis (RA), os odontoideum, and trauma. Various techniques were discussed in relation to C1-C2 stabilization. The study aims to share our clinical experience in a series of six cases of C1-C2 instability that underwent posterior C1-C2 fusion, with free hand technique and limited fluoroscopy.

Settings And Design: Randomised controlled trial.
Materials And Methods: The study comprised thirty posterior teeth sockets in either arch in patients ranging from 25 to 60 years.

This paper discusses the treatment of impacted permanent incisors and unerupted ectopic canine associated with a dentigerous cyst in mixed dentition that was successfully managed by the combined approach of decompression followed by enucleation, primary closure, autotransplantation and endodontic therapy which enabled the utilization of teeth which were hitherto nonfunctional, transferred to an optimal functional and esthetic position. Decompression is a less invasive technique which reduces the cystic pressure, avoids a more stressful surgical procedure and necessity for general anesthesia. It gives more pleasing results as the body's own mechanism heals the defect gradually.

The ApoE gene responsible for the Alzheimer's disease has been examined to identify functional consequences of single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs). Eighty-eight SNPs have been identified in the ApoE gene in which 31 are found to be nonsynonymous, 8 of them are coding synonymous, 33 are found to be in intron, and 3 are in untranslated region. The SNPs found in the untranslated region consisted of two SNPs from 5' and one SNP from the 3'.
