Introduction: Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is a polygenic, multifactorial, syndromic disorder with reproductive, endocrine, and metabolic dysfunction seen in reproductive aged women (12-45 years). The exact cause is not known may involve increased luteinizing hormone, increased insulin levels, and a defect in androgen synthesis. The symptoms include anovulation, irregular menses, and hyperandrogenism.
