- In a study of 1,008 cirrhotic HCC patients in Southern Italy, 70.6% received therapies according to these guidelines, with adherence linked to better overall health and lower tumor severity.
- However, adherence was lower in intermediate and advanced stages of HCC, highlighting the need for improved compliance with the BCLC algorithm, especially in more complex cases.
