In 2014, Terre des Hommes collaborated with the Ministry of Health in Burkina Faso to implement the Integrated electronic Diagnosis Approach (IeDA) in health centers by providing a digital algorithm aimed at improving health services.
A comprehensive evaluation from January 2016 to October 2017 included direct observations, in-depth interviews with 154 individuals, and focus groups, revealing that effective adoption of the electronic protocol relied on management practices like teamwork, training, and role clarity.
The success of the IeDA initiative highlighted the importance of combining technology with supportive management and open communication, emphasizing that managers' attitudes significantly impact the intervention's success.
