Objectives: Deep inspiration breath-holds (DIBHs) reduce heart and lung toxicity during breast cancer radiotherapy. Consecutive DIBHs are stressful, time-consuming, and leads to position changes. To facilitate the introduction of pre-oxygenation using high-flow nasal oxygen (HFNO) and hyperventilation to prolong DIBHs (L-DIBHs), we examined the effect of hyperventilation time on the duration of L-DIBHs.

Methods: This is a monocentric prospective longitudinal study up to 12 months post-treatment, evaluating clinician- and patient-reported toxicity (resp. CTCAE and PRO-CTCAE), health-related quality of life (HRQoL) (EORTC QLQ-C30 and LC-13), activities of daily living (HAQ-DI) and functional exercise capacity (6 Minute Walking Test (6MWT)).
Background: Recently, CT perfusion (CTP) has been proposed as a selection tool for stroke patients to be treated with endovascular thrombectomy. We investigated whether functional outcome following endovascular treatment was improved after the introduction of CTP.
Methods: This retrospective single-centre study includes all patients with a major vessel occlusion in the anterior circulation that received a CTP and underwent a mechanical thrombectomy from 2014 up to 2015.
