This study addresses the pressing issue of high arsenic (As) contaminations, which poses a severe threat to various life forms in our ecosystem. Despite this prevailing concern, all organisms have developed some techniques to mitigate the toxic effects of As. Certain plants, such as bryophytes, the earliest land plants, exhibit remarkable tolerance to wide range of harsh environmental conditions, due to their inherent competence.

Aim: Kikuchi-Fujimoto disease (KFD) is an important cause of lymphadenitis in children. The primary aim of this study was to investigate the clinical characteristics of children with KFD and to assess the recurrence of this disease.

Methods: This is a retrospective study of patients younger than 18 years old, who were diagnosed with KFD from January 2000 to September 2017 at KK Women's and Children's Hospital.
