[Torsion of the pregnant uterus].

The authors report a case of 180 degrees torsion of the pregnant uterus. Torsion has been defined as a rotation of more than 45 degrees of the uterus around its long axis and is rare in humans. Clinical diagnosis is difficult since symptoms are either absent or non specific (cervical dystocia, painful uterine contractions, dynamic hypertonia.
