Cannabis use disorder affects up to 42% of individuals with schizophrenia, correlating with earlier onset, increased positive symptoms, and more frequent hospitalizations. This study employed an untargeted lipidomics approach to identify biomarkers in plasma samples from subjects with schizophrenia, cannabis use disorder, or both (dual diagnosis), aiming to elucidate the metabolic underpinnings of cannabis abuse and schizophrenia development. The use of liquid chromatography-high resolution mass spectrometry enabled the annotation of 119 metabolites, with the highest identification confidence level achieved for 16 compounds.

As a glycolytic activity surrogate, we investigated the dynamics of peripheral blood (PB) lactate in the first weeks post-CAR-T infusion. In 17 patients treated with CD28 harbording anti-CD19 CAR-T for relapsed/refractory non-Hodgkin lymphomas, PB lactate levels increased following CAR-T infusion.

Seven-year EFS of patients randomly assigned to alloSCT was 38% (95% CI, 25 to 52) compared with 34% (95% CI, 22 to 47) for patients randomly assigned to autologous transplantation of hematopoietic stem cells (autoSCT); OS was 55% (95% CI, 41 to 69) and 61% (95% CI, 47 to 74). Among patients undergoing alloSCT (n = 26) or autoSCT (n = 41) on study, the cumulative progression/relapse rate was 8% (95% CI, 0 to 19) and 55% (95% CI, 35 to 74).

However, recent evidence of multilineage involvement questions the significance of MRD. We aimed to define the prognostic role of MRD as assessed by or lymphoid-specific immunoglobulin/T-cell receptor () gene markers.

The copolymer poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) has been used to encapsulate such compounds separately, providing pharmaceutical grade edible products with unique features. In this work, a variety of PLGA based nanoformulations that maintain the natural cannabinoid profile found in the plant (known as full-spectrum) are proposed and evaluated.

Moreover, the value of adding anti-thymoglobulin (ATG) to PTCy is unknown. A total of 1344 adult patients received an unmanipulated haploidentical transplant at 37 centers from 2012 to 2019 for hematologic malignancy.

However, due to its previous illegal background, little research has been conducted around its biochemical insights. Therefore, in the current framework, metabolomics may be a suitable approach for deepening the knowledge around this plant species.

The analysis of these compounds though has to be carefully designed as they are found in very low concentrations, and some of them degrade easily once blood is collected. In this chapter, a simple method based on a liquid-liquid extraction and analysis by liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) is described to determine the concentration of eight of the most relevant endocannabinoids in plasma.

Currently, several types of human bio-specimens are being used for research, including postmortem brains, cerebrospinal fluid, induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells, and induced neuronal (iN) cells. However, these samples are far from providing a useful predictive, diagnostic, or prognostic biomarker.

Moreover, the synergistic interaction between different cannabinoids and other plant constituents has led to the development of full-spectrum formulations for therapeutic treatments. In this work, the microencapsulation of a full-spectrum extract via vibration microencapsulation nozzle technique using chitosan-coated alginate is proposed to obtain an edible pharmaceutical-grade product.

We report here the outcome of patients with initial CNS involvement included in the pediatric-inspired prospective randomized GRAALL-2005 study. Between 2006 and 2014, 784 adult patients (aged 18-59 years) with newly diagnosed Philadelphia-negative ALL were included, of whom 55 (7%) had CNS involvement.

Unfortunately, it is still associated with a significant risk of relapse due to mechanisms of escape from the control of alloreactive T cells. Repetitive adjuvant donor lymphocyte infusion (DLI), termed prophylactic DLI (proDLI), as an effective strategy in preventing relapse is still debated.

In France at the time of this study, venetoclax was not yet approved for AML and there were therefore no formal usage recommendations. Here we report the first study in a French cohort that assessed venetoclax in combination with existing treatments for AML under real-life conditions.

We conducted a retrospective multicentric study to evaluate pre-exposure prophylaxis with AZD7442 (tixagevimab/cilgavimab) for preventing COVID-19 in adult allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplant (allo-HSCT) recipients. Among the 161 patients of our cohort, 22 (14%) contracted COVID-19 after a median follow-up of 105 days, but no severe form was observed.

Serotonin 2A receptors (5-HT2AR) have been involved in psychosis and, like Akt kinase, are known to be modulated by THC. Likewise, endocannabinoid system dysregulation has been suggested in schizophrenia.

We sought to compare the performance of these scores in a cohort of 428 consecutive adults with AML who received conventional induction chemotherapy in five academic centers in France. All scoring systems identified a subset of patients with increased 28 and 56-day mortality although the prediction accuracy was overall limited with C-statistics of ranging from 0.

A cardiac evaluation is essential in the pre-transplant assessment given the patient's comorbidities and previous chemotherapy treatments received. Various thresholds of cardiac function are recommended as eligibility criteria.
