Individual behavior during financial decision making is motivated by fairness, but an unanswered question from previous studies is whether particular patterns of brain activity correspond to different profiles of fairness. Event Related Potentials (ERPs) were recorded from 39 participants who played the role of allocators in a Dictator Game (DG) and responders in an Ultimatum Game (UG). Two very homogeneous groups were formed by fair and selfish individuals.

Despite proven efficacy and safety, a rare but potentially fatal complication of adenoviral-vector vaccines, called vaccine-induced immune thrombotic thrombocytopenia (VITT), has emerged the pathogenesis of which seems to be related to the development of platelet-activating anti-platelet factor 4 (PF4) antibodies. While a few studies have evaluated the incidence of anti-PF4 positivity in anti-severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) vaccine recipients, to date no studies have assessed whether an antiplatelet immunological response develops and if this associates with platelet and blood clotting activation.

Our Whole Lives: an eHealth toolkit for Hypertension and Cardiac Risk Factors (OWL-H) is an eHealth platform that teaches evidence-based lifestyle strategies, such mindfulness and cooking skills, to improve self-management of HTN.
Objective: The primary goal of this pilot study was to evaluate the feasibility of OWL-H combined with teaching kitchen medical group visits (TKMGVs) in a low-income population of participants with HTN.
The spectrum of kidney involvement in systemic sclerosis (SSc) includes scleroderma renal crisis, widely recognized as the most severe renal-vascular complication, but also several forms of chronic renal vasculopathy and reduced renal function are complications of scleroderma. Scleroderma renal crisis, myeloperoxidase-antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody associated glomerulonephritis, penicillamine-associated renal disease, abnormal urinalysis, alteration of vascular endothelial markers, scleroderma associated-vasculopathy with abnormal renal resistance indices and cardiorenal syndromes type 5 were also reported in SSc patients. A frequent form of renal involvement in SSc patients is a subclinical renal vasculopathy, characterized by vascular damage and normal renal function.

The minimal quark content of the Λ_{b}^{0}K^{-}π^{+} system indicates that these are excited Ξ_{b}^{0} baryons. The masses of the Ξ_{b}(6327)^{0} and Ξ_{b}(6333)^{0} states are m[Ξ_{b}(6327)^{0}]=6327.

The presence of fQRS has been associated with an increased risk of all-cause mortality and arrhythmia in patients with cardiovascular disease. However, current binary visual analysis is prone to intra- and inter-observer variability and different definitions are problematic in clinical practice.

However, respiratory motion remains a challenge for iterative reconstruction techniques employing temporal regularisation. The aim of this study is to evaluate an iterative reconstruction with integrated motion compensation for SMS-bSSFP first-pass myocardial stress perfusion in the presence of respiratory motion.

Increasing evidence suggests that the presence of turbulent-like flow may play a key role, therefore, to stabilize the flow in the venous segment, an external support device (VasQ) has been designed. The aim of this study was to provide preliminary evidence of VasQ impact on AVF hemodynamics as compared to AVFs created with conventional surgery.

Dentists are uniquely positioned to discuss vaccination programs with their patients. The goal of this project was to assess the readiness of dentists in the state of Indiana in being able to administer vaccines.

Methods: Multivendor cardiac MRI studies were retrospectively collected from 4 centres and 3 vendors. A two-head convolutional neural network ('CardiSort') was trained to classify 35 sequences by imaging sequence (n = 17) and plane (n = 10).
Background: With an increased emphasis on considering optimal oral health in the context of overall health and well-being, there is interest in understanding how practicing dentists are using information about their patients' overall health status.
Methods: A survey tool was developed to understand how dentists assess the health status of their patients, the frequency at which they are gathering this information, and how they work with their medical colleagues. Emails with an electronic survey link were sent to 997 American Dental Association Clinical Evaluators (ACE) panel members on November 23, 2021.
Background: Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 has had devastating effect on access to care in many specialties and dental services including oral medicine. Following the shelter-in-place orders in March 2020, we implemented Tele(oral)medicine practices for the diagnosis and management of some oral medicine conditions.
Objectives: To assess the role of telemedicine visits with respect to managing pain among patients affected by oral diseases.
We present a comparative density functional theory investigation of the furfural (Ff) molecule on the low index Ni, Pd and Pt surfaces to understand its geometrical and electronic properties to gain mechanistic insights into the experimentally measured catalytic reactivities of these metal catalysts. We show that the number of metal states, which hybridize with the nearest C and O -orbitals of the Ff molecule, can be used to explain the stability of the Ff molecule on these surfaces. We find that the hybridization between atoms with higher electronegativity and the metal states plays a crucial role in determining the stability of these systems.

Here, we report an anomalous intrinsic fluorescence of KCl aqueous solution at room temperature and show that its intensity increases with the salt concentration. From the ab initio density functional theory (DFT) and time-dependent DFT modeling, we propose that the fluorescence emission could originate from the stiffening of the hydrogen bond network in the hydration shell of solvated ion-pairs that suppresses the fast nonradiative decay and allows the slower radiative channel to become a possible decay pathway.

Successful treatment of the condition traditionally involves the application of cosmetic products facilitating the moisturisation of the skin with a range of ingredients including glycerol and fatty acids. While the effectiveness of these treatments is not in question, limited information exists on the impact on the skin microbiome following use of these products and the improvement in skin hydration.

The ratio between T1 relaxation times of adsorbed (ads) and free diffusing (bulk) molecules (T1/T1) can be used as an indicator of the relative strength of interaction between the reactant and the catalytic surface, where the lower the T1/T1, the higher the adsorption strength. It can be seen that 1% Pd/carbon showed a reverse catalytic behaviour towards benzaldehyde and octanal hydrogenation, which can be explained by analysing the T1 relaxation times related to each substrate in the presence of the catalyst.

The aim of this study was to assess the effectiveness of an online learning tool to educate dental and dental hygiene students about HPV and its association with OPC, rapidly evolving disease patterns, and dental professionals' role in HPV-associated OPC prevention efforts. A three-section online learning module was developed to improve dental professionals' comfort levels with, and knowledge of, HPV.

The CO photoreduction is a promising way to convert one of the most abundant greenhouse gases to valuable chemicals. The photoreduction in the liquid phase is limited by the low solubility of CO in water, but this point is overcome here by using an innovative photoreactor, which allows one to work up to pressures of 20 bar, improving the overall productivity. The photoreduction was performed in the presence of NaSO and using in primis commercial titanium dioxide (P25) and a set of titania catalysts functionalized by surface deposition of either monometallic or bimetallic cocatalysts.
