Bone marrow is a dynamic organ with variable composition in relation to age or pathophysiological changes. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is the technique of choice to assess the different components of the bone marrow based on the different information provided by the different characteristics of the MRI sequences. This article provides an overview of the MRI appearances of normal and abnormal bone marrow.

Several reasons underpin this, primarily technical challenges, and a longstanding reliance on conventional and morphological evaluations of soft tissue and bone lesions. Objectives: The revised European Society of Musculoskeletal Radiology (ESSR) consensus guidelines on soft tissue tumor imaging represent an update of 2015 after technical advancements, further insights into specific entities, and revised World Health Organization (2020) and AJCC (2017) classifications. This second of three papers covers algorithms once histology is confirmed: (1) standardized whole-body staging, (2) special algorithms for non-malignant entities, and (3) multiplicity, genetic tumor syndromes, and pitfalls.
Materials And Methods: A validated Delphi method based on peer-reviewed literature was used to derive consensus among a panel of 46 specialized musculoskeletal radiologists from 12 European countries.
Numerous anatomical variants are described around the knee, many of which look like bony lesions, so it is important to know them to avoid unnecessary complementary tests and inadequate management. Likewise, several alterations in relation to normal development can also simulate bone lesions.However, numerous pathologic processes frequently affect the knee, including traumatic, inflammatory, infectious, and tumor pathology.

The incorporation of advanced sequences such as diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) and dynamic contrast-enhanced (DCE) MRI into standard protocols for diabetic foot assessment could aid radiologists in differentiating between neuropathic osteoarthropathy (Charcot's foot) and osteomyelitis. This distinction is crucial as both conditions can coexist in diabetic patients, and they require markedly different clinical management and have distinct prognoses.

After being distributed in the vascular and extravascular spaces during the dynamic phase, gadoxetic acid is progressively taken up by hepatocytes and excreted to the bile ducts during the hepatobiliary phase. The information derived from the enhancement characteristics during dynamic and hepatobiliary phases is particularly relevant in the detection and characterization of focal liver lesions and in the evaluation of the structure and function of the liver and biliary system.

Methods: This retrospective studyincluded 67 men witha single suspected cancer on MRI (PI-RADS 2.1 category ≥ 3) who underwent in-bore transrectal MRI-guided biopsy.
Objective: To analyze the maternal burden related to the care of children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.
Method: Study with a mixed-method sequential explanatory design held at the Association of Friends and Families of Special Children and in a WhatsApp® Messenger group, with 51 (quantitative phase) and six (qualitative phase) mothers, between January and October 2019. For data collection, in the quantitative phase, a sociodemographic, economic and child care characterization form and a Zarit Burden Interview instrument were used.
To achieve clinical impact in daily oncological practice, emerging AI-based cancer imaging research needs to have clearly defined medical focus, AI methods, and outcomes to be estimated. AI-supported cancer imaging should predict major relevant clinical endpoints, aiming to extract associations and draw inferences in a fair, robust, and trustworthy way. AI-assisted solutions as medical devices, developed using multicenter heterogeneous datasets, should be targeted to have an impact on the clinical care pathway.

There is no consensus or universal standard approach for the detection of bone metastases in cancer patients based on imaging. Endorsed by the Spanish Society of Medical Oncology (SEOM), the Spanish Society of Medical Radiology (SERAM), and the Spanish Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SEMNIM) a group of experts met to discuss and provide an up-to-date review of our current understanding of the biological mechanisms through which tumors spread to the bone and describe the imaging methods available to diagnose bone metastasis and monitor their response to oncological treatment, focusing on patients with breast and prostate cancer.
