An off-label use of flow-diverter stent as a successful treatment of a postoperative middle cerebral artery pseudoaneurysm.

A pseudoaneurysm or false aneurysm is the result of the disruption of the vessel wall and the formation of a hematoma in communication with the vascular lumen, restrained by perivascular connective tissue. Intracranial pseudoaneurysms represent a rare entity mainly because of trauma, iatrogenic causes, infectious disease, radiation exposure, connective tissue disease and sometimes spontaneous occurrence. We present a 35-year-old female patient with a history of multiple low-grade glioma debulking surgeries.

Right Paraduodenal Hernia as a Cause of Acute Abdominal Pain in the Emergency Department: A Case Report and Review of the Literature.

Paraduodenal hernias (PDHs) represent an unusual cause of acute abdominal pain in the Emergency Department (ED) and are associated with high morbidity attributable to a challenging clinical and radiological diagnosis, as signs and symptoms mimic other frequent causes of acute abdominal pain. We report a right paraduodenal hernia in a 37-year-old female patient who presented to the ED complaining of abdominal pain located in the right lower abdomen and hypogastrium, accompanied by nausea. During diagnostic work up, the abdominal computed tomography scan revealed the presence of small bowel malrotation with concomitant right paraduodenal hernia.

Posterior cerebral artery dissection after excessive caffeine consumption in a teenager.

Arterial ischemic stroke is a rare but significant cause of neurological deficits in childhood. Even though there is a variety of risk factors, identifying the etiology can sometimes be a hard diagnostic challenge. Arteriopathies in general, and more specifically, arterial dissection is one of the uncommon pathologies that can cause incidents of pediatric stroke.

Distal middle cerebral artery dissection with concurrent completely thrombosed aneurysm manifesting as cerebral ischemia. A case report and review of the literature.

We report the case of a 70-year-old woman who presented with an acute ischemic stroke involving the left frontal operculum secondary to an M2 dissection and a concomitant completely thrombosed aneurysm of the left distal middle cerebral artery. Initial imaging work-up was inconclusive due to the lack of typical radiographic features and only repeated imaging studies pointed towards the presence of an arterial dissection combined with a completely thrombosed aneurysm. The aneurysm was partially clipped and wrapped with excellent clinical result at 1-year follow-up.

Case Report of Synchronous Prostate, Hepatocellular, and Rectal Carcinomas and Review of the Literature.

Synchronous occurrence of three histopathologically distinct malignant tumors is a rare event, and there are no definitive guidelines about the optimal treatment of these patients. We report a case of synchronous prostate, hepatocellular, and rectal carcinomas and discuss our therapeutic strategy that resulted in excellent clinical results.
