Evaluation of the Prevalence and Risk Factors of Drug-Related Problems in Hypertension and Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Patients at a Tertiary Care Hospital: A Cross-Sectional Study.

Background Drug-related problems (DRPs) potentially interfere with the desired treatment goals which may lead to increased healthcare costs, morbidity, and mortality. Despite the negative consequences of DRPs, there is a lack of comprehensive research on their prevalence and risk factors, particularly in chronic diseases such as hypertension and type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM). This study aims to evaluate the prevalence and contributing factors of DRPs among hypertension, type 2 DM, and hypertension with type 2 DM in the outpatient general medicine department.

Background: Diagnosing immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI)-associated nephritis can be challenging since it is a rare complication of therapy, associated with a spectrum of immune-mediated pathologies, and can present months after ICI therapy discontinuation (i.e., late-onset).

Rare Case of Spontaneous Pneumorrhachis in a Young Male with COVID-19.

Here we present a rare case of spontaneous pneumomediastinum complicated with pneumorrhachis (PR) in a young man who is a known case of carcinoma rectosigmoid region. Our young male was diagnosed with novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and remained asymptomatic for any respiratory complaints. Though an association of pneumomediastinum has been reported in COVID 19 patients, to the best of our knowledge, this is the first report of PR in a COVID-19 oncological case.

Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD) is the most common prion disease in humans with an incidence of one case per million inhabitants worldwide. The sporadic form of CJD (sCJD) is spontaneous and accounts for 85% of cases. Its symptoms include rapidly progressive dementia, ataxic gait, personality changes, myoclonus, coma, and eventually death.

Case Report: Kryptonite-A Rare Case of Left-Sided Bilothorax in a Sickle Cell Patient.

Bilothorax is a rare cause of an exudative pleural effusion. The diagnosis is confirmed by a pleural fluid to serum bilirubin ratio of greater than 1. Typically, bilothorax presents as a right-sided effusion due to its proximity to the liver and biliary system.
