Background: Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has been declared a global public-health crisis due to its impact on health, economy, and mental well-being. Here, we evaluated the clinical and epidemiological parameters associated with COVID-19 in South India.
Methods: A retrospective, quaternary care hospital-based study that included COVID-19 positive patients admitted to MIOT International Hospital, Chennai between 8 April-7 August 2020.
An 18-year-old man presented with a large (12 x 10 cm) cystic mass involving the lower lobe and lingula of the left lung on computed tomography. Intraoperatively a large cystic mass was seen densely adherent to the left lung and the chest wall. A left pneumonectomy was performed because of the dense adhesions and extreme vascularity.

Methods: Patient data were prospectively collected from 919 patients who had isolated coronary surgery during the period 2000 to 2003.
A 10-year-old boy presented with severe aortic regurgitation due to a dysplastic aortic valve. He underwent a Ross procedure employing a mini-root replacement technique. At surgery, he was found to have eccentrically located coronary ostia which were both reimplanted as a single button into the pulmonary autograft.
