Objectives: Oral squamous cell carcinoma poses a substantial global health challenge marked by rising mortality rate. Recently, immunotherapy has shown promising results in cancer management by enhancing immune response. Thus, identifying additional immune-related markers is critical for advancing immunotherapy treatments.

The quest for cost-efficient and high-performance electrocatalysts towards electrocatalytic water splitting is a key and an interdisciplinary area of study. Considerable progress is being driven by developments in the field of energy research. In a fundamental study, we have synthesized NHC precursors ( and ) and corresponding metal-NHC complexes of silver(I)- ( and ) and ruthenium(II)- ( and ) of a N-heterocyclic carbene-based ligand type incorporating coumarins.

During hospitalization, depression and functional decline, which is unique to older adults, leads to poor clinical outcome. Steps taken for its prevention is unlikely to become a priority for the Cardiologist.

Coronary artery stents protruding into the aorta is a rarely reported problem. Issues with the protruding stent include embolization and interference with aortic valve function. Management of this rare situation should be on an individualized basis.

OSCC is defined as an immunogenic tumor with the potential to be recognized and targeted by the immune system. It is characterized by the extensive infiltration of immune cells and plays a vital role in tumorigenesis.

The present investigation constructs upon our previous research and delves into the molecular mechanisms contributing to the anticancer effects of DLF and DLMF. This study examined the anti-cancer effects of DL, DLF, and DLMF by diethyl nitrosamine (DEN)-induced HCC model in albino Wistar rats.

An exclusive set of Dy ions incorporated Boro-phosphate glasses with different modifier ions like Sr, Mg, Ba, Li and Zn have been manufactured by quenching the melts. The optical behavior of the present glasses was explored through absorption, luminescence & lifetime studies. Physical parameters such as refractive index (RI) and density have been calculated and utilized to evaluate other parameters.

These aspects must be thoroughly assessed before athletes can return to sports safely following an injury. Although the single-leg hop test (SHT) is widely used as the gold standard for evaluating joint stability, it has limitations in assessing multidirectional movements.

Necessarily, distinct membrane protein enrichment methods and mass spectrometry platforms are employed for their global and relative quantitation. First of its kind to explore, we compiled membrane-associated proteomes in human and mouse systems into a database named, Resource of Experimental Membrane-Enriched Mass spectrometry-derived Proteome (REMEMProt).

Mitral valve replacement with mechanical valve is the commonest surgical procedure performed in rheumatic heart disease (RHD). However, there are no studies reporting the long-term outcomes of mechanical mitral valve replacement in rheumatic heart disease from India.

In recent years, commercial use of antibiotic growth promoter (AGP) has restrictions due to drug resistance against intestinal pathogenic bacteria: Escherichia coli, Salmonella, and Clostridium perfringens. Currently there is no single non-antibiotic treatment approach that is effective against intestinal illnesses in broiler chicken. Hence, present study aimed to analyze efficacy of blend of natural antimicrobial substances (probiotics, prebiotics, organic acids, and essential oils blend named as AGPR) as replacers of AGPs (BMD and CTC) for promoting growth and controlling bacterial diseases in aforementioned three microbes challenged broiler chickens.

This study aims to compare clinical response, microbiological response, and mortality in patients treated with ceftazidime-avibactam with or without aztreonam (CAZ-AVI + AZT) and colistin or polymyxin B (polymyxins) in CRE infections.
Materials And Methods: This single-center prospective observational study included adult patients with CRE infections treated with CAZ-AVI+AZT or polymyxins between January 2022 and December 2022 at a Tertiary Care Medical Center in India.
In health systems with little public funding and decentralized procurement processes, the pricing and quality of anti-cancer medicines directly affects access to effective anti-cancer therapy. Factors such as differential pricing, volume-dependent negotiation and reliance on low-priced generics without any evaluation of their quality can lead to supply and demand lags, high out-of-pocket expenditures for patients and poor treatment outcomes. While pooled procurement of medicines can help address some of these challenges, monitoring of the procurement process requires considerable administrative investment.

Justification: The diagnosis of Down syndrome (DS) is easily made clinically but the management is multi-disciplinary and life-long. There is no standard protocol available for its management in India.
Process: A committee was formed under the Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP) chapter of Neuro developmental pediatrics consisting of 20 experts working in the related field.
Purpose: The TTK Chitra™ heart valve has more than 1,40,000 implantations so far, but no long-term data has been published. This study aims to provide long-term results of the valve.
Methodology: A cohort of 476 patients with implantations from January 2006 to December 2018 were followed up prospectively consisting of 104 aortic valve replacement (AVR), 87 double valve replacement (DVR), and 285 mitral valve replacement (MVR) patients.
Recent advances in coronary stents have all been distinctively focused towards directing re-endothelialization with minimal in-stent restenosis, potentially via alterations in surface topographical cues, for augmenting the efficacy of vascular implants. This perspective was proven by our group utilizing a simple and easily scalable nanosurface modification strategy on metallic stents devoid of any drugs or polymers. In the present work, we explore the impact of surface characteristics in modulating this cell response in-vitro and in-vivo, using titania coated cobalt-chromium (CC) stents, with and without nanotopography, in comparison to commercial controls.

On the contrary, bioactive phytochemicals used in complementary alternative medicine have recently increased attention due to their potential to modulate a wide range of molecular mechanisms with a less toxic effect. Therefore, we investigated the potential regulatory mechanisms of andrographolide to treat colorectal cancer (CRC) using a network pharmacology approach.
