The present investigation constructs upon our previous research and delves into the molecular mechanisms contributing to the anticancer effects of DLF and DLMF. An exclusive set of Dy ions incorporated Boro-phosphate glasses with different modifier ions like Sr, Mg, Ba, Li and Zn have been manufactured by quenching the melts. The optical behavior of the present glasses was explored through absorption, luminescence & lifetime studies. Physical parameters such as refractive index (RI) and density have been calculated and utilized to evaluate other parameters.

REMEMProt: a resource of membrane-enriched proteome profiles, their disease associations, and biomarker status.

The differential expression of plasma membrane proteins is integrally analyzed for their diagnosis, prognosis, and therapeutic applications in diverse clinical manifestations. Necessarily, distinct membrane protein enrichment methods and mass spectrometry platforms are employed for their global and relative quantitation. First of its kind to explore, we compiled membrane-associated proteomes in human and mouse systems into a database named, Resource of Experimental Membrane-Enriched Mass spectrometry-derived Proteome (REMEMProt).

Early and long-term outcomes of mitral valve replacement with mechanical valve in rheumatic heart disease.

Background: Rheumatic fever and rheumatic heart disease is endemic in India. Mitral valve replacement with mechanical valve is the commonest surgical procedure performed in rheumatic heart disease (RHD). However, there are no studies reporting the long-term outcomes of mechanical mitral valve replacement in rheumatic heart disease from India.

Evaluation of Natural Antimicrobial Substances Blend as a Replacement for Antibiotic Growth Promoters in Broiler Chickens: Enhancing Growth and Managing Intestinal Bacterial Diseases.

In recent years, commercial use of antibiotic growth promoter (AGP) has restrictions due to drug resistance against intestinal pathogenic bacteria: Escherichia coli, Salmonella, and Clostridium perfringens. Currently there is no single non-antibiotic treatment approach that is effective against intestinal illnesses in broiler chicken. Hence, present study aimed to analyze efficacy of blend of natural antimicrobial substances (probiotics, prebiotics, organic acids, and essential oils blend named as AGPR) as replacers of AGPs (BMD and CTC) for promoting growth and controlling bacterial diseases in aforementioned three microbes challenged broiler chickens.

The Comparative Efficacy of Ceftazidime-Avibactam with or without Aztreonam vs Polymyxins for Carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae Infections: A Prospective Observational Cohort Study.

Background: Carbapenem-resistant enterobacteriaceae (CRE) is associated with high mortality in critically ill patients, with limited treatment options. This study aims to compare clinical response, microbiological response, and mortality in patients treated with ceftazidime-avibactam with or without aztreonam (CAZ-AVI + AZT) and colistin or polymyxin B (polymyxins) in CRE infections.

Materials And Methods: This single-center prospective observational study included adult patients with CRE infections treated with CAZ-AVI+AZT or polymyxins between January 2022 and December 2022 at a Tertiary Care Medical Center in India.

In health systems with little public funding and decentralized procurement processes, the pricing and quality of anti-cancer medicines directly affects access to effective anti-cancer therapy. Factors such as differential pricing, volume-dependent negotiation and reliance on low-priced generics without any evaluation of their quality can lead to supply and demand lags, high out-of-pocket expenditures for patients and poor treatment outcomes. While pooled procurement of medicines can help address some of these challenges, monitoring of the procurement process requires considerable administrative investment.

Consensus Statement of the Neurodevelopmental Pediatrics Chapter of Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP) on the Management of Children With Down Syndrome.

Justification: The diagnosis of Down syndrome (DS) is easily made clinically but the management is multi-disciplinary and life-long. There is no standard protocol available for its management in India.

Long-term evaluation of TTK Chitra™ heart valve prosthesis - a retrospective-prospective cohort study.

Purpose: The TTK Chitra™ heart valve has more than 1,40,000 implantations so far, but no long-term data has been published. This study aims to provide long-term results of the valve.

Methodology: A cohort of 476 patients with implantations from January 2006 to December 2018 were followed up prospectively consisting of 104 aortic valve replacement (AVR), 87 double valve replacement (DVR), and 285 mitral valve replacement (MVR) patients.
