This research work aims to explore the potential usage of post-consumer waste expanded polystyrene (EPS) for the fabrication of self-standing electrodes by incorporating reduced graphene oxide (rGO) into it a facile cost-effective mechanical mixing process. The π-π interaction between the expanded polystyrene and rGO is evidenced from FT-IR and Raman analysis. The elevated thermal stability of the EPS/rGO composite from thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) further confirms the interconnection between the rGO and EPS.

Treating healthy but unaesthetic teeth has been a major challenge for a dental practitioner. Maxillary midline diastemas are one such aberration in the smile zone. Although a diastema can be transient in the developing dentition, the management of the diastema in adulthood requires a detailed examination and appropriate care for a successful outcome.

Background: Cardiac disease in pregnancy is a major contributor to maternal mortality in high, middle and low-income countries. Availability of data on outcomes of pregnancy in women with heart disease is important for planning resources to reduce maternal mortality. Prospective data on outcomes and risk predictors of mortality in pregnant women with heart disease (PWWHD) from low- and middle-income countries are scarce.

Objectives: To determine the prevalence of hypogonadism among Indian men with and without type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and evaluate its association with various metabolic parameters.

Methods: One hundred fifty consecutive men with T2DM, aged 25-70 years, and one hundred age-matched healthy men without diabetes were included. The free testosterone (FT) level was calculated using the total testosterone (TT), sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG), and albumin levels in serum.

Introduction: The emergence of extended-spectrum beta-lactamase (ESBL)-producing has become an important challenge among pediatric patients with community-acquired urinary tract infection (UTI).

Objectives: The aim of this study was to assess the antimicrobial susceptibility patterns, associated risk factors and to survey the frequency of cefotaximase (CTX-M), temoneira (TEM), and sulfhydryl variable (SHV) genotypes in ESBL-producing isolated from children with community-acquired UTI.

Methods: This was a prospective study conducted from November 2012 to March 2016 in a tertiary care center.

The ultrasonic formation of stable emulsions of a bioactive material, black seed oil, in skim milk was investigated. The incorporation of 7% of black seed oil in pasteurised homogenized skim milk (PHSM) using 20kHz high intensity ultrasound was successfully achieved. The effect of sonication time and acoustic power on the emulsion stability was studied.

Introduction: Rhesus (Rh) antigen was discovered in 1940 by Karl Landsteiner and Wiener. Due to its immunogenicity along with A, B antigens, Rh D antigen testing was made mandatory in pre-transfusion testing. Presently there are more than 50 antigens in Rh blood group system but major ones are D, C, E, c, and e.
