Tricuspid valve edge-to-edge repair simulations are highly sensitive to annular boundary conditions.

Transcatheter edge-to-edge repair (TEER) simulations may provide insight into this novel therapeutic technology and help optimize its use. However, because of the relatively short history and technical complexity of TEER simulations, important questions remain unanswered. For example, there is no consensus on how to handle the annular boundary conditions in these simulations.

Prospective study using villous length morphometry as an adjunctive tool to assess modified Marsh grade in patients with coeliac disease.

Coeliac disease, an autoimmune disease, is caused by ingestion of gluten in genetically susceptible individuals. The currently used modified-Marsh grading, used to assess mucosal injury, is fraught with interobserver and intraobserver variability. The aim is to reduce this variability by villous length morphometry.

Cytological diagnosis of Castleman's disease of the soft tissue.

Castleman's disease (CD), a rare benign disease is characterized by lymphoid hyperplasia of uncertain etiology that may present as a nodal or extranodal mass. We describe herein a rare case of CD occurring in the soft-tissue of right arm in a 55-year-old woman. The present case is instructive in the differential diagnosis of primary soft-tissue tumors, for which the possibility of CD should be considered.

Surface-active potential of biosurfactants produced in curd whey by Pseudomonas aeruginosa strain-PP2 and Kocuria turfanesis strain-J at extreme environmental conditions.

Surface-active potential of biosurfactants produced cost-effectively in curd whey by Pseudomonas aeruginosa strain-PP2 and Kocuria turfanesis strain-J were tested using parameters viz. surface tension (ST) reduction, F(CMC) (highest dilution factor to reach critical micelle concentration) and emulsification index (EI-24) of pesticides; monocrotophos and imidacloprid at extreme environmental conditions. Results have shown that ST reduction of biosurfactants was stable at pH 2-11.
