Article Synopsis
  • Infectious fungi pose a growing global threat, and using Antifungal peptides (AFP) is a promising way to create effective antifungal drugs with minimal toxicity to hosts.
  • The study introduces MLAFP-XN, a neural network-based approach that accurately identifies active AFP in sequencing data, employing eight feature extraction techniques along with the XGB feature selection strategy.
  • After evaluating 24 classification models, the top four achieved impressive accuracy rates, outperforming existing methods, and a companion website was created to showcase the AFP recognition process and highlight influential properties using SHAP.

Brain implantable wireless microsystems has potential to treat neurological diseases and maintain the quality of life. Highly efficient miniaturized antenna is the fundamental part of BID (brain implantable device) for reliable signaling of data through dissipative intracranial material. In this paper, a patch antenna with L-shaped defected ground is demonstrated.

We present a graphene-based optical leaky wave antenna (OLWA) with diamond-shaped perturbations. The leaky wave antenna is created by applying diamond-shaped graphene perturbations to a Si3N4 waveguide. The leaky wave behavior is observed by changing the graphene chemical potential.
