Prognostic Value of the Lactate/Albumin Ratio for 28-Day Mortality in Pediatric Septic Shock: A Prospective Cohort Study.

Background Septic shock remains a leading cause of mortality in children. The lactate/albumin ratio (LAR) has emerged as a potential prognostic marker for mortality in septic shock, yet most existing research focuses on adults, with limited data available for pediatric populations, particularly in Vietnam. Objectives This study aims to evaluate the prognostic utility of the LAR in predicting 28-day mortality among children aged two months to 15 years with septic shock in Vietnam.
