Young Man With Primary Mucinous Cell Carcinoma of the Eyelid: 36 Month Follow Up.

Primary cutaneous mucinous carcinoma (PCMC) is a malignant adnexal tumor that masquerades as a benign periocular lesion. We present a case of a 29-year-old male with an eyelid PCMC misdiagnosed as a chalazion. He underwent Mohs microscopic surgery for definitive treatment, with no recurrence at his 36 month follow up.

Orbital Cellulitis in a Psoriatic Patient Treated With Adalimumab.

Introduction: Psoriatic patients on tumor necrosis factor alpha inhibitors (TNFi) may be at increased risk for upper respiratory tract infections, including chronic rhino-sinusitis (CRS). Rarely, CRS can progress to orbital cellulitis (OC), an emergent ophthalmic complication wherein respiratory flora from paranasal sinus disease intrude the retro-orbital space.

Venous Thoracic Outlet Syndrome: The Role of Early Rib Resection.

The upper extremity is an uncommon site for deep vein thrombosis and, although most of these thrombotic events are secondary to catheters or indwelling devices, venous thoracic outlet syndrome is an important cause of primary thrombosis. Young, active, otherwise healthy individuals that engage in repetitive upper extremity exercises, such as those required by a military vocation, may be at an increased risk. We present the case of a Naval Officer diagnosed with venous thoracic outlet syndrome whereby a multimodal approach with early surgical decompression was used.
