- The study evaluated 300 T2DM patients and 100 non-diabetic individuals, measuring key blood markers to assess magnesium levels and their relationship with diabetes management.
- Results indicated that T2DM patients had significantly lower magnesium levels compared to controls, with lower magnesium correlating strongly with worse glycemic control and insulin resistance, emphasizing the importance of monitoring magnesium levels in diabetes care.
