Critical evaluation of applications of artificial intelligence based linguistic models in Occupational Health.

This article explores the impact and potential applications of large language models in Occupational Medicine. Large language models have the ability to provide support for medical decision-making, patient screening, summarization and creation of technical, scientific, and legal documents, training and education for doctors and occupational health teams, as well as patient education, potentially leading to lower costs, reduced time expenditure, and a lower incidence of human errors. Despite promising results and a wide range of applications, large language models also have significant limitations in terms of their accuracy, the risk of generating false information, and incorrect recommendations.

Although Ti alloys have impressive versatility, their lack of cellular adhesion, osteogenic and antibacterial properties are significant factors that contribute to their failure.

This narrative review article explores the current scientific knowledge on the definition, epidemiology, diagnostic criteria, microbiology, treatment, and prevention of severe community-acquired pneumonia (SCAP) in immunocompetent adults. At present, despite major scientific advances in diagnostic evaluation, clinical management, antimicrobial therapy, and prevention, severe community-acquired pneumonia remains a major cause of morbidity and mortality, as well as having a major economic impact in terms of increased healthcare expenditure worldwide. This pathology is considered one of the leading causes of sepsis/septic shock, with an extremely high overall mortality rate, which justifies all the effort in early diagnosis, proper management, and prompt initiation of antimicrobial therapy.

Leprosy-associated Chronic Wound Management Using Biomaterials.

Background: Deformities and neuropathic chronic ulcers are the common features associated with leprosy-cured individuals that impact their quality of life and impair rehabilitation efforts. The challenging aspects for treatment of chronic wounds are the factors that inhibit healing. We reasoned that limited success of various therapeutic interventions could be due to the fact that leprosy-cured individual's physiology gets acclimatized to having a chronic wound that any therapeutic intervention is counterbalanced to maintain at the wound site.
