Aim: To investigate the characteristics and outcomes of octogenarians who presented with ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) compared to non-octogenarians and to investigate the outcomes of octogenarians that received primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) compared to those managed conservatively.

Methods: We performed a single center retrospective case controlled study. All octogenarians who presented with STEMI to a tertiary referring hospital between 2007 and 2012 were included.

Background: We examined the association between unwanted sexual experiences and cervical cancer, cervical intraepithelial neoplasia 3, adenocarcinoma in situ, diagnosed ≤25 years of age.

Methods: A case-control study of women ≤55 years who attended gynecological hospitals in Australia between 1983 and 2007. Cases were ≤25 years when diagnosed with disease, control group 1 were "older women" >25 years at diagnosis; control group 2 were "well women" ≤25 years attending preventive health clinics.

Women reporting childhood sexual abuse (CSA) that involved actual or attempted penetration may not identify this as their first sexual intercourse. Data were drawn from a population-based, prospective cohort study spanning adolescence to adulthood. CSA prior to age 16 and age of first sexual intercourse with a male were assessed retrospectively.
