The sexual and reproductive health (SRH) needs of youths in sub-Saharan Africa are not being fully met, as evidenced by high rates of unintended pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections in this population. Understanding service needs and preferences of sub-Saharan African youths aged 10-24 years is critical for improving access and SRH outcomes and the focus of this systematic review of qualitative research. Four databases were searched with key words to identify relevant studies, supplemented by citation search, with an update in June 2023.

- The study concluded that enhancing midwives' training through job support, refresher courses, and community involvement could strengthen their ability to deliver effective emergency obstetric care and reduce maternal mortality rates.
Young people's unawareness and poor utilisation of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) services is one of the contributing variables that increase the susceptibility of youths to many challenges in SRHR. This study sought to assess young people's level of awareness and utilisation of available sexual and reproductive health and rights services in Calabar South Local Government Area of Cross River State, Nigeria. The available SRHR services in the study area were identified.
