Background: Expansive intracranial hematomas (EIH) following traumatic brain injury (TBI) continue to be a public health problem in Uganda. Data is limited regarding the neurosurgical outcomes of TBI patients. Surgical characteristics of appendectomy in the eastern region of the democratic republic of congo: a cross-sectional study.

Unlabelled: Appendectomy is a surgical procedure performed on a patient with acute appendicitis and is often performed by surgery and performed in an emergency. The authors have carried out this study, which aims to describe the surgical characteristics of appendectomies.

Methods: This retrospective, descriptive, and documentary cross-sectional study was conducted from October 2021 to October 2022.

Diaphragmatic ruptures rarely occur in isolation, a pathology in paediatric that is difficult to diagnose and can lead to serious complications if left untreated. We present a rare case of isolated right diaphragmatic rupture with liver herniation that was successfully repaired, along with a literature review. A 1-year-old female child was admitted at Emergency Department after being involved in a motor traffic crash as a passenger.
