Chromosomal aberrations involving T-cell receptor (TCR) gene loci have been described in several T-cell malignancies. In primary cutaneous T-cell lymphomas (CTCL), the frequency of these aberrations has not yet been well established. We analyzed TCR gene loci (TCRAD, TCRB, and TCRG) status in CTCLs by fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH).

The frequency of gastrointestinal (GI) tract involvement in mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) at diagnosis is reported to be below 30%. To investigate the actual frequency of GI involvement by MCL, upper and lower endoscopy was prospectively performed on 13 untreated MCL patients at diagnosis. Multiple biopsies from endoscopically normal and abnormal gastric and colonic mucosa were studied with immunohistochemistry (IHC) for CD20, CD5, and cyclin D1, as well as fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) for t(11;14) and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) for immunoglobulin heavy chain gene.

Meningeal lymphomatosis (ML) as the first manifestation of a splenic marginal zone lymphoma (SMZL) is rare. The descriptions of only 2 cases with this complication, one of which had ML as the first manifestation, have been published to date. We describe a 53-year-old man, an ex-smoker, who presented with transitory episodes of bilateral loss of visual acuity.
