Treatment of the first known case of king cobra envenomation in the United Kingdom, complicated by severe anaphylaxis.

We report the first known case of envenomation following snake bite by a king cobra in the UK. The patient required tracheal intubation and ventilation. Treatment with king cobra antivenom resulted in anaphylaxis (bronchospasm and hypotension), requiring adrenaline infusion.
