Aims: To describe a case of a congenital coronary artery fistula in a neonate with the diagnostic and surgical modalities used to manage this condition. A full-term infant was recently diagnosed with a coronary artery fistula. The patient was a term neonate, born without complications, which then appeared to be cyanotic and had a significant heart murmur.

Study Design: A retrospective, case-control study was conducted on ectopic (case) and intrauterine (control) pregnancies at New York Methodist Hospital between January 2000 and April 2004. There were 67 patients in each group, matched by age and gravidity.

Aims: The objective of the study was to examine the effect of ranitidine on the incidence of late onset sepsis.
Methods: This study was based on information extracted from charts of 569 infants admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) from July 2003 to July 2005. All infants admitted for seven or more days were included.
Objective: The purpose of our study was to compare clinical criteria with echocardiographic findings in diagnosing hemodynamically significant patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) in preterm infants.
Methods: We evaluated 25 preterm infants born at 24-32 weeks of gestation with birth weight from 500 to 1700 g for tachycardia, heart murmur, hyperdynamic chest, presence of dorsalis pedis pulse, hypotension, and worsening of the respiratory status at 48-72 h of life. A pediatric cardiologist blinded to clinical findings performed the echocardiograms.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of birth weight discordance (BWD) and prematurity on twin neonatal outcome by measuring Apgar scores and blood glucose concentrations at birth.
Methods: This was a retrospective cross-sectional study. All twins born at NY Methodist Hospital between January 1998 and December 2001 were eligible.
Objective: To compare the perinatal outcome and placental morphology of twins conceived by assisted reproductive technologies (ART) or natural conception (NC).
Methods: The present retrospective study included 88 twin pairs. Methods of ART included in vitro fertilization, intrauterine insemination, embryo transfer and induced ovulation.
Objective: The purpose of the study was to investigate alimentation of very low birth weight (VLBW) infants and its effect on blood concentration of glucose, urea nitrogen, creatinine and potassium.
Methods: The subjects were 100 VLBW infants born between 1993-1999. The gestational age ranged from 23 to 32 weeks and the birth weight from 443 to 1470 g.
