Two approaches in treatment of 131 patients with postinfarction cardiosclerosis are compared in the work. Tactics of "total" myocardial revascularization means restoration of coronary blood flow in all arteries with hemodynamically significant lesion while "selective" revascularization provides restoration of coronary blood flow only in those arteries which have a viable myocardium in their pool. It was concluded that restoration of coronary blood flow in patients after myocardial infarction permits to prevent postinfarction heart remodeling, development of heart failure thereby affecting on the prognosis.

Immediate and long-term results of endovascular treatment of multivessel coronary artery disease by using different revascularization strategies were analyzed in 171 patients. Duration of follow up ranged from 12 to 18 months. Complete myocardium revascularization was performed in 63 patients, culprit vessel revascularization--in 86 pts and incomplete revascularization--in 22 pts.

Paper is devoted to the safety rules by surgical interventions on patients with permanent pacemaker. Data of 123 operated patients with intraoperative pacemaker instability were analyzed, possible premises of this complications were discussed. The use of monopolar electrocoagulation proved to be the most frequent of reason of pacemaker failure.

Based upon the investigation of the hemogram, biochemical indices of blood and certain instrumental methods of research in patients with a critical form of obliterating diseases of lower extremity vessels, whose treatment included UVI of auto-blood, the authors have shown pronounced clinical efficiency of the method of treatment resulting in the improvement of theological properties of blood, microcirculation in tissues, less pain syndrome and rapid healing of trophic ulcers against the background of better condition of the patient. The method allowed the time of staying at the hospital to be substantially shortened.

The authors examined 875 patients with diseases of the blood. Combined operations are the effective component of the complex treatment of such patients. It is expedient to perform them with the use of the upper median laparotomy and combined approach.

Analysis of 9 cases showed that diagnostic laparotomy is advisable in patients with side-to-side anastomosis of the small intestine who are suffering from chronic posthemorrhagic iron deficiency anemia and in whom the source of bleeding is not identified by methods of clinical examination. Improper techniques of the creation of a side-to-side anastomosis+ lead to the formation of blind pouches with the development of ulcers and erosions on the mucous membrane, which are the source of the bleeding. Resection of the anastomosis and subsequent establishment of an end-to-end anastomosis removes the source of the bleeding and comprises etiopathogenetic treatment of iron deficiency anemia in these patients.

The article describes results of treatment of 8 patients with diseases of blood system complicated by autoimmune processes with the use of lymphocytopheresis in combination with the ultraviolet irradiation of lymphoplasm for its sterilization before autotransfusion. It was shown that ultraviolet rays (254-330 nm) gave a stable most pronounced lymphoplasm-sterelizing effect in addition to the increased immunosuppressive action due to lymphocytophoresis in the external drainage of the thoracic lymphatic duct.

Under analysis were observations of 34 patients with obliterating diseases of the lower extremity vessels. All of them were treated by autotransfusion of ultraviolet irradiated blood. It was noted that the patients' state improved, pains subsided and the ulcers were epithelized.

The authors analyze the experience with the reinfusion of the autoblood subjected to ultraviolet irradiation to 25 patients with inflammatory diseases of the maxillofacial area. The positive curative effect of this method of hemotherapy is demonstrated.
