Outcomes of Shoulder Functions in Spinal Accessory to Suprascapular Nerve Transfer in Brachial Plexus Injury: A Comparison between Anterior and Posterior Approach.

 Restoration of shoulder functions is important in brachial plexus injury (BPI). The functional outcomes of spinal accessory nerve (SAN) to suprascapular nerve (SSN) transfer by the anterior supraclavicular approach and the posterior approach is a matter of debate. This article aims to compare the outcomes of the shoulder functions by the SAN to the SSN transfer using the two approaches.

Primary Failure of Autogenous Arteriovenous Fistula: Critical Analysis.

Introduction: Permanent vascular access is an essential intervention in patients with advanced chronic kidney disease (CKD) and its success depends on various non-modifiable and modifiable factors. Considering the element of unpredictability and failure, we attempted to analyze various factors responsible for primary arteriovenous fistula (AVF) failure in presumed high-risk groups.

Materials And Methods: We conducted an observational study of newly created AVFs at a tertiary referral government hospital in Eastern India between January 2014 and June 2015.

Synthesis and biological evaluation of a novel series of pyrazolylcoumarins as anti-inflammatory and antioxidant agents.

A new series of pyrazolylcoumarins (4a-k) was synthesized by reaction of appropriate dibromochalcones (3a-k) with phenyl hydrazine in ethanol. Structures of all new synthesized compounds were characterized on the basis of elemental analysis and spectral data (UV, IR and 1H NMR). The title compounds were screened for in vivo anti-inflammatory activities at a dose of 200 mg/kg b.

Visible spectrophotometric estimation of diacerein in bulk and pharmaceutical dosage forms.

Two simple, sensitive, accurate, rapid, and economical spectrophotometric methods have been developed for the estimation of diacerein in Pharmaceutical dosage forms. Method A is based on the reaction of diacerein with Folin-Ciocalteu reagent, in the presence of 0.5 N sodium hydroxide solution, giving a pink-colored chromogen, which shows maximum absorbance at 512 nm against reagent blank, while method B is based on the oxidation of diacerein with potassium permanganate in an alkaline medium giving a pink-colored chromogen, which shows maximum absorption at 497.

Simultaneous RP-HPLC Estimation of Cefpodoxime Proxetil and Clavulanic Acid in Tablets.

A new, simple, precise, rapid and accurate RP-HPLC method has been developed for the simultaneous estimation of cefpodoxime proxetil and clavulanic acid from pharmaceutical dosage forms. The method was carried out on a Zorbax Eclipse XDB 5 mu C 18 (150x4.6 mm) column with a mobile phase consisting of acetonitrile:50 mM potassium dihydrogen phosphate buffer (pH 3.
