Pathophysiology and pregnancy outcomes of ascites in preeclampsia-a scoping review.

Preeclampsia is a multisystem disorder associated with defective trophoblast invasion, maternal syndrome, and capillary endothelial leak. The presence of ascites/third space fluid accumulation increases the risk of maternal morbidity and mortality. The current criteria/guidelines of preeclampsia do not establish the presence of ascites as a marker of severity or recognize the timing and need for early delivery despite associated complications.

Clinical and Angiographic Profile in Non-ST Elevation Acute Coronary Syndrome (NSTE-ACS) and Chronic Stable Angina: A Tertiary Care Centre-Based Cohort Study From Southern Indian Population.

Purpose This study aimed to assess the clinico-demographic profile, risk factors, and pattern of coronary involvement in non-ST elevation acute coronary syndrome (NSTE-ACS) and chronic stable angina (CSA). Methods This was a retrospective study conducted in a tertiary care hospital catering mainly to the rural population in Southern India from January 2020 to July 2022. Data from 333 patients with NSTE-ACS and CSA were analyzed during the study period for the clinico-demographic profile, risk factors, and pattern of coronary involvement in angiography.

Problematic screen media use in children and adolescents attending child and adolescent psychiatric services in a tertiary care center in North India.

Objective: The present clinic-based study aimed to evaluate screen media use among children and adolescents who had a mental disorder.

Methods: Two hundred twelve parents of children and adolescents attending the child and adolescent psychiatric services were approached. They were asked to rate the screen media use of their child brought for psychiatric consultation using the Problematic Media Use Measure-Short Form (PMUM-SF).

Use of Electroconvulsive Therapy in Adolescents: A Retrospective Study.

Background: This study aimed to evaluate the clinical profile of adolescents aged up to 19 years who had received electroconvulsive therapy (ECT).

Methods: A retrospective chart review was carried out to identify adolescents aged up to 19 years who had received ECT during the period 2012-2018. Details regarding their sociodemographic and clinical variables and ECT data were extracted from the records.

Is Freehand Technique of Pedicle Screw Insertion in Thoracolumbar Spine Safe and Accurate? Assessment of 250 Screws.

Background: Pedicle screw fixation is one of the widely used procedures for instrumentation and stabilization of the thoracic and lumbar spine. It has the advantage of stabilizing all the three columns in single approach. Various assistive techniques are available to place the pedicle screws more accurately but at the expense of increased exposure to radiation, prolonged surgical duration, and cost.

Giant convexity chondroma with dural involvement: Case report and review of literature.

Intracranial chondromas are rare benign cartilaginous tumors arising usually from the skull base. We present a case of giant chondroma with dural attachment. Imaging modalities and management pearls are discussed.
