Background: Hernia repair using robotic platforms has been on the rise in the last decade. The HUGO robotic-assisted surgery (RAS) system, introduced in 2021, is a new addition to the field. In this study, we share our experience with this innovative system for the management of ventral and groin hernias.

In recent years, the neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and platelet-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) have been employed as predictive parameters for systemic inflammatory response and long-term prognosis in a variety of malignancies. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the NLR and PLR correspond with tumor characteristics in colon cancer patients.

Aim: Solid pseudopapillary neoplasm (SPN), a slow-growing pancreatic tumor with a vague clinical presentation and non-specific radiological features, is rather uncommon. We share our experience emphasizing on preoperative diagnosis and the correlation with final histopathological examination.
Materials And Methods: This is a retrospective analysis of the 468 patients who underwent pancreas-related surgery at our institution between January 2013 and July 2022.

Introduction: There are standard treatment guidelines for the surgical management of rectal cancer, that are advocated by recognized physician societies. But, owing to disparities in access and affordability of various treatment options, there remains an unmet need for personalizing these international guidelines to Indian settings.
Methods: Clinical Robotic Surgery Association (CRSA) set up the Indian rectal cancer expert group, with a pre-defined selection criterion and comprised of the leading surgical oncologists and gastrointestinal surgeons managing rectal cancer in India.

The swift endorsement of the robotic surgical platform indicates that it might prevail as the preferred technique for many complex abdominal and pelvic operations. Nonetheless, use of the surgical robotic system introduces further layers of complexity into the operating theatre necessitating new training models. Instructive videos with relevant exposition could be optimal for early training in robotic surgery and the aim of this study was to develop consensus guidelines on how to report a robotic surgery video for educational purposes to achieve high quality educational video outputs that could enhance surgical training.

This survey was designed to assess the current United Kingdom regional practice compared with the guidelines published by The American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons.
Methods: A questionnaire survey focused on the management of acute diverticulitis was sent to all consultants, specialist registrars, and staff-grade surgeons in general surgery in one United Kingdom region.
Purpose: Multislice CT colonography is an alternative to colonoscopy. The purpose of this study was to compare multislice CT colonography with colonoscopy in the detection of colorectal polyps and cancers.
Methods: Between June 2000 and December 2001, 45 males and 35 females (median age, 68 (29-83) years) with symptoms of colorectal disease were studied prospectively.
