Background: In India, approximately 3.5 million children are affected by Developmental Delay (DD), often stemming from preterm births. These delays contribute to neurological and motor development delays, placing a significant financial burden on families.

The unequal distribution of healthcare services is mainly due to the lack of accessibility, especially in rural areas, leading to a significant burden on caregivers. This research aims to alleviate caregiver burden and reduce disability in preschool children by establishing model clinics or specialized outreach centers in rural villages, supported by SRM Institute of Science and Technology under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Scheme.

Microplastics, a fast-growing environmental concern, play a crucial role in developing the major pollution crisis that affects nearly the entire surface of the planet. Microplastics are tiny particles, measuring less than 5 mm which are ubiquitous, in occurrence, and found in a wide array of products including plastic packaging, synthetic textiles, seafood, fruits, vegetables, salt, sugar, bottled water, and even personal care products. The presence of microplastics in our environment and the potential adverse health effects they may cause have made them a significant perturbation in recent years.

We hypothesized that ApAn+ adversely impact ventricular mechanics and mechano-energetic coupling in ApHCM.
Methods: Ninety-eight ApHCM patients were identified, of which nine (9%) had ApAn+ and were compared with 89 (91%) who did not (ApAn-).
In evolutionary game theory, a relative comparison of the cost and benefit associated with obtaining a resource, called payoff, is used as an indicator of fitness of an organism. Payoffs of different strategies, quantitatively represented as payoff matrices, are used to understand complex inter-species and intra-species interactions like cooperation, mutualism, and altruism. Payoff matrices, however, are usually treated as invariant with time-largely due to the absence of any empirical data quantifying their evolution.

However, glaucoma drainage devices have their place in certain refractory glaucomas not amenable to control by the standard trabeculectomy. These devices come with their own set of complications, cognizance of which is critical to anticipate and manage appropriately.

To test the genetic basis of pleiotropic behaviour, we evolved six lines of independently in environments where glucose and galactose were the sole carbon sources, for 300 generations. All six lines in each environment exhibit convergent adaptation in the environment in which they were evolved.

We hypothesized that septal involvement in apical hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (ApHCM-Mixed) adversely impacts ventricular structure and function when compared with isolated apical hypertrophy (ApHCM-Pure).
Methods: A total of 72 patients (ApHCM-Mixed = 36, ApHCM-Pure = 36) with serial 2D and speckle-tracking echocardiographic analyses were identified.
Background: Patients with psychiatric disorders have varied psychosocial realities embedded in the community context. Help-seeking behavior is extremely crucial in determining the prognosis and outcome of interventions.
Objectives: (1) To assess the levels of quality of life, perceived social support, and decision to first seek help.

Purpose: Skeletal metastases are increasingly reported in metastatic triple-negative breast cancer (BC) patients. We previously reported that TGF-β1 sustains activating transcription factor 3(ATF3) expression and is required for cell proliferation, invasion, and bone metastasis genes. Increasing studies suggest the critical regulatory function of microRNAs (miRNAs) in governing BC pathogenesis.

A population diversifies into two or more species-such a process is known as speciation. In sexually reproducing microorganisms, which barriers arise first-pre-mating or post-mating? In this work, we quantify the relative strengths of these barriers and demonstrate that pre-mating barriers arise first in allopatrically evolving populations of yeast, . These defects arise because of the altered kinetics of mating of the participating groups.

Uncontrolled glucose levels in both blood and urine develops vascular complications in T2DM patients. However, glucose-controlled diabetic patients are also affected by vascular complications due to vascular calcification, and there is a lack of clinically relevant data on BPA levels available in patients with T2DM-associated vascular complications due to vascular calcification.

More than the surgery, postoperative follow-ups and management of the blebs play a critical role in the long-term success. This video is aimed at showing the real-world management of blebs postoperatively.

Risk stratification of patient populations for genetic testing, early detection, and advances in affordable clinical treatment are on-going. We present a case to further demonstrate the need for continued research.

Study Design, Setting: Markov microsimulation state transition model based on data from the Coronary Artery calcium score: Use to Guide management of Hereditary Coronary Artery Disease (CAUGHT-CAD) trial and transition probabilities derived from published statin prescribing and adherence outcomes and clinical data.
We sought to apply a simple cardiovascular health tool not requiring laboratory tests (the Fuster-BEWAT score, FBS) to predict subclinical atherosclerosis. This study included 2657 young adults (< 40 years of age). In the prognostic group (n = 894, followed for 13 years until aged 40-50 years at follow-up), the primary outcome was presence of carotid plaque measured by carotid ultrasound at follow-up.

Objectives: Facial onset sensory and motor neuronopathy syndrome (FOSMN) is a rare motor neuron disorder characterized by facial sensory and motor aberrations that progress to the upper limbs. We present a case of FOSMN-like syndrome that has characteristics of FOSMN but is confined to the craniofacial region.
Methods: Retrospective chart review and review of the literature.
Exosomes are extracellular vesicles produced by various cell types and extensively distributed in physiological fluids. Because of their significant role in cancer progression, they have been a focal point for the novel cancer therapy approach. Exosomes are highly efficient at transporting proteins, RNAs, and small drugs into cancer cells for therapeutic purposes.
