Methods: Five waves (2019-2021) from the longitudinal study 'the Netherlands Working Conditions Survey COVID-19 study' were used (response rates: 32-38%). Generalized logistic mixed models were used to estimate the changes in absolute and relative educational inequalities in poor health and emotional exhaustion for all workers (n = 12,479) and for men and women, separately.

Objective: To explore the relationships between the attitude, intention, skills and barriers of employers and employment of vulnerable workers.
Methods: We included 5,601 inclusive organizations (≥1% of employees had a disability, was long-term unemployed or a school dropout) and 6,236 non-inclusive organizations of the Netherlands Employers Work Survey 2014-2019.

Methods: Using an ecological measurement assessment survey, fatigue and sleep quality were daily measured among 223 shift workers for up to eight weeks. A questionnaire assessed baseline characteristics, and roster data were retrieved from the company registers to determine roster parameters.
Background And Objectives: Previous studies reported that photobiomodulation (PBM) positively affects the mitochondrial respiratory chain in sperm, resulting in improved motility and velocity. As laser settings are not yet fully established, the present study aimed at optimizing PBM on human sperm. Design: RCM was used on living cortex tissue fragments derived from five bovine ovaries and 13 human ovaries. All tissue fragments were cryopreserved and thawed before RCM analysis. Follicle numbers and distribution were determined by RCM and histology.
Research Question: Is overnight transportation of ovarian tissue before cryopreservation in a centralized cryobank from the FertiPROTEKT network feasible?
Design: Data from 1810 women with cryopreserved ovarian tissue after overnight transportation from December 2000 to December 2017 were analysed with a focus on transportation, tissue activity parameters and pregnancy, and delivery rates after transplantation.

The cryopreservation of ovarian tissue with subsequent transplantation of the tissue represents an established method of fertility protection for female patients who have to undergo gonadotoxic therapy. The procedure can be performed at any point in the cycle and thus generally does not lead to any delay in oncological therapy. With the aid of this procedure, more than 130 births to date worldwide have been able to be recorded.

Summary Answer: In 49 women with a follow-up >1 year after transplantation, the ovaries were active in 67% of cases and the pregnancy and delivery rates were 33 and 25%, respectively.
What Is Known Already: Cryopreservation of ovarian tissue in advance of cytotoxic therapies and later transplantation of the tissue is being performed increasingly often, and the total success rates in terms of pregnancy and delivery have been described in case series. However, published case series have not allowed either a more detailed analysis of patients with premature ovarian insufficiency (POI) or calculation of success rates based on the parameter 'tissue activity'.
In this cross-sectional study associations were examined between eight shift schedule characteristics with shift-specific sleep complaints and need for recovery and generic health and performance measures. It was hypothesized that shift schedule characteristics meeting ergonomic recommendations are associated with better sleep, need for recovery, health and performance. By altering the temperature between loading and elution in back-flush mode, solvent transfer of analytes and focusing occurs, provided that the analytes exhibit temperature dependent retention on a given trap column. When retention on the trap decreases with increasing temperature, which is almost always the case, the loading of the trap-column takes place at a higher temperature than the elution.

Purpose: To evaluate the effect of cryopreservation and thawing of ovarian tissue from oncological patients opting for fertility preservation on ovarian tissue viability.
Methods: In this prospective cohort study, the ovarian tissue viability before and after cryopreservation and thawing was measured for 25 newly diagnosed oncological patients who had their ovarian tissue cryopreserved. Outcome measures were follicle integrity (histology), follicle viability (Calcein viability assay), steroid hormone production (estradiol and progesterone production in vitro) and overall tissue viability (glucose uptake in vitro).
Background: Current strategies in cancer treatment have markedly increased the rates of remission and survival for cancer patients, but are often associated with subsequent sterility. While there are various options available to an adult female depending on the patient's particular situation, the only realistic option for preserving fertility in prepubertal females is to cryopreserve ovarian tissue. Methods: Between 1 September 2005 and 31 December 2009, data on individual and work-related characteristics of N=5640 employees of Tata Steel in the Netherlands were retrieved from the Occupational Health Service and company registers. Work outcomes related to sustainable employment were (i) temporarily being placed in less strenuous work, (ii) sickness absence ≥6 weeks, and (iii) leaving the organization.
Objective: To investigate the effects of a dynamic fluidic culture system on early in vitro folliculogenesis in standardized ovarian cortex biopsies.
Design: Cortical small strips were cultured for 6 days in a conventional static or in a dynamic fluidic culture system.
Setting: University-affiliated laboratory with an associated cryobank facility.
Background: The problem of post-cancer infertility is of significant concern. The cryopreservation of ovarian tissue before cancer therapy with retransplantation after convalescence is the key to solving this problem.
Methods: Cryopreservation of ovarian tissue was performed in 2005 after surgical operation, post-operative low-temperature 22 hour transportation, and freezing using a special, original design block constructed for the initiation of ice formation (ice-seeding).
