A rare case of chronic ectopic pregnancy presenting as large hematosalpinx.

Ectopic pregnancy is defined as implantation and subsequent development of an embryo outside the uterine lining. It has wide range of presentation from acute hemoperitoneum to chronic ectopic pregnancy. This is an unusual case of chronic ectopic pregnancy with large hematosalpinx without classical symptoms.

Forgotten intrauterine devices presenting with pre- and postmenopausal bleeding: a case series.

We present two cases of retained intrauterine contraceptive devices (IUCDs). The first presented with perimenopausal bleeding and dysmenorrhoea and the symptoms were resolved following the removal of an IUCD. The second presented with postmenopausal bleeding and had a Lippes loop in the uterine cavity.

A rare case of uterine leiomyosarcoma: a case report.

Introduction: Malignant change in a leiomyoma or uterine fibroid is termed leiomyosarcoma. It arises from smooth muscle of the uterus and is a rare tumor that accounts for 2% to 5% of all uterine malignancies. Very few cases are reported in the literature.

Teaching surgical skills in obstetrics using a cesarean section simulator - bringing simulation to life.

Purpose: Cesarean section is the most common surgery performed in obstetrics. Incorporating a simulation model into training provides a safe, low-stress environment in which students can gain skills and receive feedback. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of obstetrics simulator training for medical students doing their internship.

Giant ovarian serous cystadenoma in a postmenopausal woman: a case report.

A case of 66-year-old South Indian post menopausal woman presenting a giant ovarian serous cyst adenoma weighing 23 kg is reported here. A 66-year-old woman was referred to our clinic from a local medical center. When she was seen first at our outpatient clinic, she had gross abdominal distension since 2 years and she was unable to walk.
