Introduction: Burnout syndrome develops as a consequence of chronic stress among employees. The study objective was to examine what socio-descriptive characteristics of employees might be associated with the appearance of the occupational burnout and to evaluate the relationship between job burnout and the quality of life among security employees of the professional private security sector in Central Serbia.
Methods: A multicenter cross-sectional questionnaire-based study was performed.
The weakly basic antibiotic and anti-inflammatory drug, clofazimine (CFZ), was first described in 1957. It has been used therapeutically, most notably in the treatment of leprosy. However, the compound is extremely insoluble in aqueous media, and, indeed, there is poor consensus about what its intrinsic solubility is since the reported values range from 0.

The influence of aromatic system size on the positive values of electrostatic potentials and bond dissociation energies of C-NO bonds was studied by Density Functional Theory (DFT) calculations on a series of polycyclic nitroaromatic molecules. Calculations performed at PBE/6-311G** level showed that with the increase of the aromatic system size, values of positive electrostatic potential above the central areas of selected energetic molecules decrease from 32.

Development of high-energy compounds with reduced sensitivity towards detonation and high efficiency is hard to achieve since the energetic molecules with high performance are usually very sensitive. Here we used Density Functional Theory (DFT) calculations to study a series of bis(acetylacetonato) and nitro-bis(acetylacetonato) complexes and to elucidate their potential application as energy compounds with moderate sensitivities.

Quantum chemical and density functional theory calculations were used to reveal the influence of hydrogen bonding on the values of electrostatic potential above the central areas of molecules of three conventional explosives: 1,3,5-trinitrobenzene, 2,4,6-trinitrophenol, and 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene. Both the case when energetic molecules act as hydrogen atom donors and when they act as hydrogen atom acceptors were considered.

Results show that an additional aromatic ring in structure of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons significantly strengthens CH/O interactions. Calculated interaction energies in optimized structures of the most stable tetracene/water complex is -2.

Among the studied neutral complexes, the [Pd(acac)(CN)(CO)] complex forms the weakest interaction, -0.62 kcal mol, while the [Ir(acac)(en)] complex forms the strongest interaction, -9.

This paper is concerned with the material parameter identification of several phenomenological hyperelastic models by fitting the data from five extension-inflation tests of the porcine aorta segment, carried out in our laboratory. A membrane approximation is used to compute stresses and strains achieved during experiments, with usual assumption of material incompressibility.

The formation of the inner-sphere charge-transfer (CT) complexes results in a red shift of the semiconductor absorption compared to unmodified nanocrystallites and a reduction of the effective band gap, being slightly less pronounced in the case of electron withdrawing substituents. The investigated ligands have the optimal geometry for binding to surface Ti atoms, resulting in ring coordination complexes of the catecholate type (binuclear bidentate binding-bridging) thus restoring six-coordinated octahedral geometry of surface Ti atoms.

In the period of 25 years, between January 1986 and December 2010, a total of 21 patients (15 SCID, 6 OS) were diagnosed in Mother & Child Health Institute of Serbia, a tertiary-care teaching University hospital and a national referral center for patients affected with primary immunodeficiency (PID). The diagnoses were based on anamnestic data, clinical findings, and immunological and genetic analysis.

Venous and arterial thromboses are increasingly encountered in the pediatric population. We present results of a case-control study of inherited and acquired risk factors for thrombosis in 129 pediatric patients from the first day of life to 18 years. The aims of study were to determine the importance of thrombophilic risk factors and comorbidity as a cause of thrombosis in children.

The formation of the inner-sphere charge-transfer (CT) complexes results in a red shift of the semiconductor absorption compared to unmodified nanocrystallites and a reduction in the band gap upon the increase in the electron delocalization when including an additional ring.
