Alarming data revealed that 19% to 34% of adults with diabetes mellitus develop chronic wounds, which are characterized by impaired healing and a higher risk of infections. Inspired by the traditional use of immortelle for wound healing and the lack of scientific evidence regarding how it thoroughly influences tissue regeneration, we aimed to formulate a hydrogel loaded with immortelle essential oil and assess its effectiveness on diabetic excision wounds. The rheological properties of the hydrogel, an in vivo safety test, as well as wound healing capacity, were determined in rats with induced diabetes and excision wounds.

Propranolol hydrochloride, a non-cardio-selective beta blocker, is used to treat several conditions in children, including hypertension, arrhythmias, hyperthyroidism, hemangiomas, etc. Commercial liquid formulations are available in Europe and the US, but they have disadvantages, such as limited stability, bitter taste, and the need for multiple daily doses due to the drug's short half-life. Protein stabilized fish oil microcapsules were incorporated into chocolates in order to design fortified product which could bear the nutritional claim "source of or high omega-3 fatty acids". This study focuses on the development of biocompatible oil-in-water (O/W) nanoemulsions based on polyglycerol esters, as promising carriers for natural actives: red raspberry seed oil-RO and hydro-glycolic fruit extracts from red raspberry-RE and French oak-FE. In this work, we have modified oil phase composition in one component (mineral oil, isocetyl palmitate, special Olive butter and dimethicone 200/350) and the aim of our work was to establish the influence of that alteration on emulsion rheological and textural properties. Additionally, continuous and oscillatory rheological measurements along with texture analysis were assessed in order to predict emulsion application behavior. Based on the obtained results, the change of oil phase has induced a change in the observed rheological and textural parameters and investigated samples can be divided into two distinct groups: the first group - samples with special Olive butter and dimethicone 200/350 and the second group - samples with isocetyl palmitate and mineral oil.
