Background: Open cholecystectomy is rapidly being replaced with laparoscopic cholecystectomy which could be associated with complications. Preoperative prediction of risk factors helps in assessing the intraoperative difficulties. Various scoring systems are available to predict the intraoperative difficulties in laparoscopic cholecystectomy.
