The present study aims to evaluate the effect of ink on insulin resistance in PCOS-induced mice. Treatment with sepia ink in dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA)-induced PCOS mice at various doses of 50 mg/kg, 100 mg/kg, and 200 mg/kg body weight mitigated the insulin resistance in the study groups with decreased concentration of testosterone and increased concentrations of estrogen and progesterone compared to the PCOS group tested by ELISA. The histopathological analysis and restoration of glucose analysis showed a significant reduction in treatment groups.

Frontline healthcare workers have been the primary group exposed to this infection, and there have been limited global research that examine this cohort. However, while there are a few large studies conducted on Indian healthcare professionals to investigate their potential risk and predisposing factors to COVID-19 infection, to our knowledge there are no studies evaluating the development of long COVID in this population.

Despite their growing importance, synthetic access of 2',3'-cyclic nucleotides is constrained, resulting in their cost-prohibitive commercial prices. Here, we describe a microwave-assisted one-pot synthesis starting from commercially available nucleosides employing an easily available cyclophosphorylating reagent, bis(dimethyldiamino)phosphorodiamidate (BDMDAP).

One's clinical practice is improved by a dynamic simulation of human eye movements using physical models of the extraocular muscles (EOMs). We use our eyeball model to teach the basics of strabismus to undergraduate students and ophthalmology residents.

Methods: This is a cross-sectional observation study conducted at six major peripheral VCs of a tertiary eye care facility in South India from June 20 to Dec 20. All children presenting at the VCs under a base hospital (BH) in Pondicherry, whose parents gave consent were included.
For beginner surgeons, it is difficult to recognize the posterior capsule during cataract surgery. In the case of brown cataracts with a thin posterior capsule and in cataracts with asteroid hyalosis, it is difficult to identify the capsule before intraocular lens (IOL) implantation even for expert surgeons. Here we illustrate five important signs, which can be practiced in routine cases to make sure the posterior capsule is intact, before IOL implantation.

We looked at the prevalence and pattern of HCS in India with the following objectives: 1) to analyse the association between SES and HCS, 2) to find trends in HCS in different SES groups and 3) to find state-wide variations in hardcore smoking. : Data of individuals aged ≥25 years from the Global Adult Tobacco Survey (GATS) India 2009-10 (N= 9223) and 2016-17 (N= 7647) were used for this study.

In the world of cyber age, cybercrime is spreading its root extensively. Supervised classification methods such as the support vector machine (SVM) and K-nearest neighbor (KNN) models are employed for the classification of cybercrime data. Likewise, the unsupervised mode of classification involves the techniques of K-means clustering, Gaussian mixture model, and cluster quasi-random via fuzzy C-means clustering and fuzzy clustering.

Here, we evaluated the antibiofilm activity of () and one of its constituent compounds 3-hydroxybenzoic acid (3-HBA) against multi-drug-resistant . We performed gas chromatography-mass spectroscopy (GC-MS) to identify the major constituents in the methanolic extract of .

We describe a robust synthesis of cPAs employing an efficient cyclophosphorylation procedure and report on their hydrolytic properties - which should facilitate the study of their biological properties and as plausible proto- and synthetic-cell components.

Methods: A total of 12 patients presenting to our OPD with acute onset esotropia due to sixth nerve palsies were included in this retrospective study. All patients were observed for 6 months and managed with prism and/or patching while waiting for spontaneous resolution and later managed surgically.
The most significant topic currently under the moonlight is Nanobiotechnology and engineered nanomaterials. The novel characteristics displayed by engineered Nanomaterials, especially carbon-based nanomaterials, have spurred interest in its potential application in the food industry. It has provided opportunities for finding solutions to the long-standing challenges in the food industry to assess food safety, maintain food quality, extend the shelf life of produce, and efficiently deliver nutrients.

Evidence is suggestive of an association between immune system dysfunction and autism spectrum disorders (ASD) among children with ASD. Immunoglobulins (Ig) are found to be increased in the circulation of individuals with autism.

Methods: The study was conducted by retrospectively collecting data from all referral letters that were already uploaded in the Electronic Medical Report (EMR) against all patients from June 2019 to December 2019. All pediatric patients in the age group of 0-16 years were included in the study.
Background: Endometriosis is a multifactorial estrogen dependent gynecological disease characterized by implantation of functional endometrial tissue at ectopic positions. Though this disease is benign, it is associated with an increased risk of malignant transformation. Epigenetic disruptions like aberrant DNA methylation, resulting changes in gene expression capacity, are important in tumor progression and malignant cellular transformation.

However, according to the most recent WHO Classification of Salivary Gland Tumors (2017), the cancer is classified as Polymorphous AdenoCarcinoma (PAC). PAC presents as a less aggressive tumor, though it could on rare occasions demonstrate distant metastasis.
