Purpose: The triticeal cartilage, situated within the lateral thyrohyoid membrane, remains elusive in function yet crucial in clinical contexts. Composed of hyaline cartilage, it is prone to ossification, potentially leading to diagnostic challenges such as misidentification with atherosclerosis or fractures.
Methods: This study, aiming to establish its prevalence and highlight clinical relevance, conducted a systematic review across several electronic databases such as Medline, PUBMED, Scopus, Google Scholar, Web of Science, SpringerLink and Sciencedirect using keywords "triticeal cartilage", "triticeous cartilage" or "cartilago triticea".
The basal nuclei are important during infancy because of the significant development of motor skills. The main aim of this study was to evaluate the shape differences of the lentiform nucleus between different age and gender groups. A total of 126 children's axial magnetic resonance image series were included in the presented study.

Materials And Methods: Thirteen patients undergoing maxillary sinus augmentation were included in this split-mouth study. Right and left sinus sites were randomly assigned to test and control group.
Background/aim: Carpal tunnel is an important anatomical passage that carries the flexor tendons into the hand. As there is still no consensus about its contents among the anatomy textbooks, the main purpose of this study was to identify the relations of the flexor carpi radialis tendon in the carpal tunnel.
Materials And Methods: This retrospective study was completed in April 2018 at authors’ university’s hospital.
Purpose: Fractures of the clavicle, which has an important location and function in the upper extremity and shoulder joint, compose 10% of all fracture cases. During the osteosynthesis of clavicle fractures and in the post-operative period of patients, considering the detailed morphometric and topographic properties of the nutrient foramen of clavicle is important to avoid the disruption of arterial nutrition of the clavicle and prevent unexpected injuries. Background: The aim of the study was to evaluate the relations between submandibular duct, lingual nerve and hypoglossal nerve for making a reassessment of this area in fresh frozen specimens. Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the effect of platelet-rich fibrin on bone regeneration in critical size defects in the calvaria of diabetic rabbits.
Study Design: In total, 40 male New Zealand rabbits, were divided into two groups a non-diabetic control group (Group A) and a diabetic experimental group (Group B). Two bicortical circular defects 15 mm in diameter were created in the parietal bone of each animal.
Background/aims: We aimed to find out if mucosal TNF-α (m-TNF-α) levels have predictive impact on anti-TNF treatment response in Crohn's disease (CD).
Methodology: TNF-alpha values were determined with immunohistochemical staining of intestinal biopsies taken from 35 subjects on anti-TNF treatment for CD and 25 controls. Correlation between m-TNF-α levels and anti-TNF treatment were evaluated.
We produced UV curable lenses with properties blocking short wave UV light. In the UV-curable formulations, we used an oligomer (Ac-PEEK) with another urethan oligomer (Mw = 2000). Methods: Forty-two patients were treated with closed reduction and K-wire fixation for unstable, extra-articular distal radius fractures with dorsal angulation. The patients were evaluated in two groups depending on the presence or absence of dorsal metaphyseal cortical comminution observed as a radiopacity on lateral radiographs.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to evaluate the accuracy of diagnostic tools in comparison with surgical results of occult ganglion cyst of the wrist, which is one of the causes of chronic wrist pain.
Methods: Twenty-five patients (4 males, 21 females; mean age 29 years; range 16 to 46 years) underwent surgery with an initial diagnosis of occult ganglion following unsuccessful conservative treatment. The mean symptom duration was 29 months (range 3 months to 10 years).
Separation by settling is one of the most troublesome stages of an activated sludge process. A decrease in the efficiency of separation of microbial biomass from the treated effluent causes a decrease in the overall efficiency of the treatment plant. One of the most common problems in activated sludge systems to negatively influence the settleability is sludge bulking which can be defined as non-settling situation of microbial mass.
