The paper presents some complications specific to the IOL implant corelated with the 3 main groups of pseudofac: anterior chamber, irian fixation and posterior chamber pseudofac. The introducing, the fixation type and the position occupied by every IOL type determines the more frequent occurrence of some complications specific to the pseudofac implant. The therapy of these complications varies too with the implant type.

The paper presents the arguments for and against the secondary implant. It is considered that the best results were obtained with anterior chamber flexible implant, excepting the young pacients, for who the "iris-chip" lens is recommended. The minimal interval between the primary and secondary implant is unanimously estimated to be one year.

The correction with glasses of the eyes with aphakia determines for most patients difficulties in distance realization, modification of the visual field, instability, headaches. Many patients (27-40%) cannot accommodate to the new condition. The up-to-date possibilities for correcting the aphakia with contact lenses, implant surgery and epikeratophakia need deeper knowledge of the optical conditions of the eye with aphakia.

The paper presents our experience in correcting with contact lens the children's aphakia. Since February 1990, soft contact lenses daily ported have been used in children's aphakia. The study included 17 children with ages, between 2 and 9 year old, from which 9 cases were of congenital cataract, 6 of traumatic cataract and 2 of Marfan syndrome.

A case of grouped pigmentation of the retina with unilateral localization is presented. It is an asymptomatic congenital abnormality, a rare affection, and the positive diagnosis is confirmed using retinal-photographical methods, angiofluorographic methods and electrophysiological methods (ERG, EOG, adaptometry).

In Ophthalmological Clinic of the District Bucharest Hospital, the authors studied 59 patients with herpetic keratitis, and keratouveitis treated with Zovirax (acyclovir). They try to prove with clinical arguments the efficacity of this treatment in different forms of herpetic keratitis. The authors consider the acyclovir like the election therapy of ocular herpes, because it determines the increase of ocular vision in almost cases with short average hospitalization.
