The Impact of the Lung Ultrasound on the Diagnosis of Interstitial Pulmonary Edema Before Extubation After Gynecologic Laparoscopic Surgery in the Trendelenburg Position: A Case Report.

Lung ultrasound contributes to the diagnosis of perioperative pulmonary edema due to fluid overload and impairment of renal function. Laparoscopic surgery and the patient's intraoperative position can facilitate the emergence of these disturbances as well. A 34-year-old female patient underwent laparoscopic salpingectomy and ovarian resection in the Trendelenburg position because of an unruptured ectopic pregnancy.

Double-Edge, Single-Edge, and Intermediate-Edge Ultrasound Sign and Correlation With Fascial Plane Block Efficacy: An Experimental Study.

Introduction Ultrasound-guided fascial plane blocks are nowadays the gold standard technique for regional anesthesia and postoperative analgesia. Despite their high success rate, cases of partial or total failure of this method have been reported. This experimental study aims to address the corresponding ultrasound signs and their association with fascial plane block efficacy.

Non-Papillary Access for the Percutaneous Antegrade Treatment of Renal and Ureteral Stones.

Objective: To evaluate the feasibility and success of medial non-papillary percutaneous access for the antegrade treatment of different locations of ureteral stones, with and without concomitant renal stones.

Methods: We performed an analysis of prospectively collected data of 72 patients, being subjected to percutaneous antegrade ureterolithotripsy. Stones located anywhere in the ureter with or without concomitant renal stones were included.
