[Comparative evaluation of the antioxidant and antiatherogenic effect of natural and selenoorganic substances].

The antioxidant and atherogenic effects of naturally occurring compounds (soya isoflavones) and of the synthetic organic compounds of selenium (selenopyran and dimethyl-pyrosalyl-selenide) on the primary cell culture of human aortic subendothelial intima and on macrophage cell culture were investigated. Our results suggest that soya isoflavones exhibit mainly antiatherogenic effect and organic compounds of selenium exhibit mainly antioxidant effect.

[Effect of a biologically active supplement (BAD) "SeleniumES" on the antioxidant system in patients with cardiovascular diseases].

The use of the dietary supplement SeleniumEC resulted in the normalization of markers of the lipid peroxidation and the antioxidant system during complex diet therapy of patients with ischemic heart diseases. These markers were more stable in patients received SeleniumEC further one month after the period in the clinic.

[Spiral computed tomography with functional tests in diagnosis of chronic obstructive diseases of the lungs].

The potential of spiral computed tomography (SCT) and high resolution computed tomography (HRST) in diagnosis of chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases (COPD) is described. Semiotic sings of bronchial asthma (BA) and chronic obstructive bronchitis (COB) are specified. Informative value of SCT in differential diagnosis of BA and COB including early stage of the diseases is analysed.

[The use of antioxidants for the correction of coronary risk factors in patients with myocardial ischemia].

The investigation of influent of soy isoflavones and vitamin-antioxidants on lipid spectrum of blood, coronary risk factors and indexes of antioxidant status in patients with ischemic heart disease. Observation has shown, that the use in the diet-therapy in patients with ischemic heart disease of soy isoflavones and vitamin-antioxidants is rather perspective.

[Efficiency of the vegetative tea in diet therapy for patients with obesity associated with diabetes mellitus type 2].

The dynamic of glycemia, insulin, C-peptide, glycosylated hemoglobin, fructosamine, thyroid hormones, parameters of serum lipids, lipid peroxidation and system of antioxidant defense in 81 hospital patients and out-patients with obesity associated with diabetes mellitus type II was studied of influence of hypocaloric diet 9. Universal normalizing influence of hypocaloric diet 9 with vegetation tea was discovered on parameters of carbohydrate, lipid and oxidative metabolism and of patients clinical state of pateni. The additional criteria of evaluation of efficacy of food dietary supplements in complex treatment of patients with obesity associated with diabetes mellitus type II was offered on basis of study of influence vegetation tea on mechanisms of metabolic disorders in these patients.

[Efficacy of laser therapy in patients with ischemic heart disease].

Modification of erythrocytic membrane and the trend in clinicofunctional indices were studied in 93 patients with angina of effort (FC i-IV) in the course of treatment with laser radiation (group 1) and imitation of laser radiation (group 2). In patients of group 1 the treatment resulted in stabilization of cell membrane accompanied with positive cardiodynamic changes.

Skin repair by transplantation of cultured keratinocytes.

Improvement of methods for culturing skin cells stimulates their wide application in the treatment of a variety of skin injuries. A method for restoration of the skin with cultured epithelium and cultured epithelium in combination with a derma analog (collagen gel with fibroblasts) was developed. Possible mechanisms for skin repair after transplantation of cultured allogenic skin transplants were analyzed.

[Computed tomographic densitometry in the diagnosis of chronic obstructive lung diseases].

The capacities of spiral computed tomography (CT) synchronized with a patient's respiration in the diagnosis of chronic obstructive lung diseases (COLD) were studied. Normal lung parenchymal density was clarified in different parts. The densitometric changes typical of bronchial asthma (BA) and COLD were studied in relation to the severity of an obstructive process.

[The study of the clinical potency of antiatherogenic diet containing flavonoids in cardiovascular patients].

At 60 patients with coronary artery disease and high blood pressure studied effects of a diet with low lipid and flavons. The application of a diet and flavons promoted positive dynamics (changes) of clinical manifestations of disease, lipid spectrum and antioxidants.

[Roentgenosurgical treatment lesions of the brachiocephalic arteries].

Being the main cause of the lethality and permanent loss of work fitness, cerebrovascular diseases are assumed to be one of the most pressing problems of neurology and vascular surgery. It is to be noted that precisely stenotic and occlusive processes occurring in aortic arch branches induce ischemic lesions of the brain in half the cases. The multicenter cooperative randomized studies (MASCET, BCST, 'Veterans Affairs Cooperative Studies Program', VACT and ACAS) finalized the problem of the necessity of surgical treatment of patients with symptomatic and asymptomatic cerebrovascular insufficiency.

[Magnetic resonance imaging of the ankle joint and foot: possible diagnostic errors].

The paper deals with the visualizing study of the ankle joint and foot by MRI and with the problems in the interpretation of magnetic resonance images in health. For this, 50 healthy volunteers without diseases and lesions of the ankle joint and foot were examined. The study was performed by using flexible superficial coils and T1-, T2-, and proton-weighed pulse-sequences in the orthogonal projections.

[Spiral computed tomography in the diagnosis of limb osteomyelitis].

The results of radiation studies in 121 patients of different age (4 to 75 years) examined for limb osteomyelitis are analyzed. All the patients underwent routine X-ray study and computed tomography (CT), 26 patients had X-ray fistulography; 8, linear tomography; 10, CT fistulography; 6, scintigraphy, and 15, ultrasound study. Acute hematogenous osteomyelitis (AHO), chronic hematogenous osteomyelitis (CHO), and atypical (here Garre's sclerosing osteomyelitis and Brodie's abscess) osteomyelitis were ascertained in 10.

[Diagnostic aspects of pharyngeal tumors].

In the work there are summarized the results of the examination of the 28 patients suffering with the pharynx tumors (angiophybroma of the pharynx, tumor of rhinopharynx with spreading to the cells of ethmoidal labyrinth and maxillary sinus, tumor of the pharynx spreading upon the rhinopharynx and intracranially) aged from 14 till 62. There are described the methods of roentgenologic investigation, computed and magnetic resonance tomography. There are shown the possibilities of different diagnostic methods in pharynx tumors, in estimation of the localization specification, prevalence, structure, degree of invasion into the neoplasms gathering round the cells, as well as the definition of the bony destruction.

[Pharmacokinetics and efficacy of phenazepam after transdermal and enteral administration in rats].

The concentration of fenazepam in the blood plasma of rats upon application of the transdermal therapeutic system (TTS) fenapercuten was very low, incomparable to the drug concentration (recalculated to equal input doses) upon intravenous or enteral administration. Nevertheless, the TTS exhibited a pronounced anxiolytic and weak sedative action in the absence of any side myorelaxant effect. The agent responsible for adverse side effects (3-hydroxyfenazepam) was not determined in the blood plasma upon the TTS application.

[Clinical use of flavonoid enriched biologically active food supplements in patients with chronic atrophic gastritis in combination with chronic cholecystitis or bile ducts dyskinesia].

60 patients with chronic atrophic gastritis and secretory insufficiency allied with chelicobacterial infection in combination with chronic unlithic cholecystitis or diskinesia of choledoch ways were explored with a view to study the efficiency of dietary cure including biologically active food supplements--flavonoids source. Fortification of the patients food intake with flavonoids-containing biologically active food supplements benefits mucous membrane of gastroduodenal zone that is evidenced in decrease of activity of pyloric chelicobacteriosis and resolvent and reparative effect, it also contributes to normalization of hepatobiliaric system condition and antioxidant status.

[Application of viable cryopreserved alloderm transplants in the treatment of wound defects of soft tissues].

An original method is proposed for treatment of long-standing intractable wounds and trophic ulcers using viable cryopreserved allodermotransplants and a distant air-plasma treatment. The main source of the allodermotransplants is the cadaverous skin. It was shown that the cadaverous skin taken during 17 hours after the donor's death was viable.

[Clinico-functional efficacy of medicinal and photon stabilization of cell membrane in patients with angina pectoris].

Modification of erythrocytic membrane and the trend in clinicofunctional indices were studied in 90 patients with angina of effort (FC I-IV) in the course of treatment with a combination of membranoprotective drugs (group 1), magneto-laser radiation (group 2) and imitation of laser radiation (group 3). In patients of groups 1 and 2 the treatment resulted in stabilization of cell membrane accompanied with a hypotensive effect and increased exercise tolerance due to more effective cardiac performance.
