The article deals with aspects of identifying industrial products in motion based on their color. An automated robotic workplace with a conveyor belt, robot and an industrial color sensor is created for this purpose. Measured data are processed in a database and then statistically evaluated in form of type A standard uncertainty and type B standard uncertainty, in order to obtain combined standard uncertainties results.

The basic idea is the direct possibility of testing and debugging advanced logistics algorithms using a digital twin outside the production line. Since the digital twin requires a physical connection to a real line for its operation, this connection is substituted by a modular cyber-physical system (CPS), which replicates the same physical inputs and outputs as a real production line.

Complete tumour devascularisation (CTD) is a surgical technique which entails the complete disruption by ligation or cutting of afferent and efferent tumour vasculature which remains in situ. In some animal models, CTD induces immune responses that lead to regression of distant metastases and protective immunity.

Objective: Stress urinary incontinence (SUI) is a clinical problem affecting a large part of female population, its incidence increases with age. Aim of this article is to show the spectrum of surgical procedures which are used to treat SUI, their advantages and limits, and define suitable patients.
Design: Review article.
Colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer. Approximately 20% of patients have at the time of presentation metastasized colorectal cancer, which is incurable in ~80% of cases. The present case report describes a typical case diagnosed with an advanced invasive colorectal adenocarcinoma, with two suspect hypodense lesions in the liver, as revealed by sonography.

A general method for the synthesis of a novel porphyrin with pentamethine periphery substitution is described. The combination of two chromophoric systems, a porphyrin macrocycle and a polymethine moiety was achieved by transformation of tetrapyridyl porphyrin. The synthetic strategy included conversion of the tetrapyridyl porphyrin to its corresponding 2,4-dinitrophenylpyridinuim salt, which was subsequently converted to tetrakis(meso-pentamethinium salt) on the porphyrin core.

Purpose Of The Study: Our objective is to introduce our simplified, easy-to-use classification of rotator cuff (RC) lesions, describe the frequency of individual findings in a considerably large series of shoulder joints examined by arthroscopy, evaluate the results of the operative management of individual lesion types, and recommend optimal surgical approaches.
Material: Over the course of 10 years (between October 1st, 2000 and December 31st, 2009), 756 arthroscopic operations on the shoulder joint were performed. RC lesions were identified in 516 cases.

We report on a systematic study of optical properties of (Ga,Mn)As epilayers spanning the wide range of accessible Mn(Ga) dopings. The material synthesis was optimized for each nominal Mn doping in order to obtain films which are as close as possible to uniform uncompensated (Ga,Mn)As mixed crystals. We observe a broad maximum in the mid-infrared absorption spectra whose position exhibits a prevailing blueshift for increasing Mn doping.

Purpose Of The Study: In a retrospective study we evaluated the results of plate osteosynthesis for treatment of periprosthetic femoral fractures classified as Vancouver types B1 and B2.
Material And Methods: The group comprised 19 patients with post-operative periprosthetic fractures treated by open reduction and internal fixation with plate osteosynthesis at our department between the beginning of 2004 and June 2007. Perioperative fractures were not included.
The design and synthesis of glycol-functionalized porphyrins that contain one to four low molecular weight glycol chains that are linked via ether bonds to the meta-phenyl positions of meso-tetraphenylporphyrin and the comparison of fluorinated and nonfluorinated para derivatives are reported. The cellular uptake and photodynamic activity significantly depend on terminal groups of the glycol substituent. Hydroxy glycol porphyrins, in contrast with methoxy glycol porphyrins, show efficient intracellular transport and a high induction of apoptosis in tumor cell lines in vitro .

Aseptic loosening of the acetabular component is often associated with destruction of the original spherical shape of the acetabulum and the formation of bone defects. An orthopedist faces the challenge of acetabular revision and stable fixation of the new acetabular component in an effort to re-establish the functioning of the hip replacement.

The sign of the noncrystalline AMR is found to be determined by the form of spin-orbit coupling in the host band and by the relative strengths of the nonmagnetic and magnetic contributions to the Mn impurity potential. We develop experimental methods yielding directly the noncrystalline and crystalline AMR components which are then analyzed independently.

Purpose Of The Study: The aim of this study is to present a simple rotator cuff lesion classification that provides guidelines as to their treatment, and to evaluate the results of palliative arthroscopic resection of rotator cuff residues known as unreconstructible lesions. In addition, our therapeutic approaches were ascertained in view of their applicability to the types of lesions studied.
Material: In a five-year period (January 1, 2000 to December 31, 2004), a total of 181 arthroscopic procedures were performed on the shoulder joints of patients diagnosed with impingement or rotator cuff syndromes.
A short synthetic route is outlined, starting from bromo-BN derivatives, via halogen lithium exchange, subsequent Michael reaction with dimethylaminoacrolein, hydrolysis to the corresponding aldehyde, and final condensation with a benzothiazolium unit to produce a BN-pentamethinium system, which absorbs in the visible range around 450 nm. Enantiopure ligands show a decent Cotton effect in the CD spectrum. Preliminary data show potential of these compounds in the area of supramolecular chemistry (enantioselective recognition) and also for medicinal application (induction of apoptosis).

The dehalogenation reactions were modelled by first-order and power law models, pseudo-stationary models with a controlling surface reaction rate and non-stationary models without the assumption of rate controlling step. Regression analysis proved, that the first-order kinetic is not suitable for the modelling of chlorinated hydrocarbons dechlorination.
