Limestone (LS) and stabilised secondary spruce chips (SCs) utilisation in wood-cement composites is still an unexplored area. Therefore, the main objective of the research presented here is the assessment of the long-term behaviour of cement-bonded particleboards (CBPs) modified by LS and SCs. Cement (CE) was replaced by 10% of LS, and spruce chips by 7% of SCs.

Materials And Methods: A phase 2, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, dose-ranging study investigated the efficacy and safety of lotiglipron. The study was terminated early for safety reasons after routine data and monitoring review.
Background: Persons with mixed hyperlipidemia are at risk for atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease due to an elevated non-high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol level, which is driven by remnant cholesterol in triglyceride-rich lipoproteins. The metabolism and clearance of triglyceride-rich lipoproteins are down-regulated through apolipoprotein C3 (APOC3)-mediated inhibition of lipoprotein lipase.
Methods: We carried out a 48-week, phase 2b, double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled trial evaluating the safety and efficacy of plozasiran, a hepatocyte-targeted APOC3 small interfering RNA, in patients with mixed hyperlipidemia (i.
Importance: Currently available glucagon-like peptide 1 receptor (GLP-1R) agonists for treating type 2 diabetes (T2D) are peptide agonists that require subcutaneous administration or strict fasting requirements before and after oral administration.
Objective: To investigate the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of multiple dose levels of the novel, oral, small molecule GLP-1R agonist danuglipron over 16 weeks.
Design, Setting, And Participants: A phase 2b, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel-group, 6-group randomized clinical trial with 16-week double-blind treatment period and 4-week follow-up was conducted from July 7, 2020, to July 7, 2021.
Inhaled corticosteroids have both genomic and nongenomic actions on the tracheobronchial (airway) vasculature in patients with bronchial asthma. Genomic actions involve the activation or repression of target genes associated with inflammation, and reduce inflammatory hyperperfusion in the airway. In contrast, nongenomic actions are mediated by rapid cellular mechanisms, and induce transient vasoconstriction.

Methods: In the 24 patients studied, the tumours were classified histologically as 15 squamous cell carcinomas and 9 adenocarcinomas.
