Objective: To evaluate the correlation between response assessment measured by PET/CT with [F] F-fluorocholine (Choline PET/CT) and serum levels of PSA in patients with prostate cancer under antiandrogenic treatment.
Methodology: A retrospective study included patients with CRPC (castration-resistant prostate cancer) and HSPC (hormone sensitive prostate cancer) treated with enzalutamide, abiraterone, or apalutamide between June 2018 and July 2021, who underwent baseline and a follow-up Choline PET/CT. The difference in maximum SUVmax (ΔSUV) between both studies and the PSA value before and at follow-up were recorded.

Renal transplant is the first-line treatment of end-stage renal disease. The increasing number of transplants performed every year has led to a larger population of transplant patients. Complications may arise during the perioperative and postoperative periods, and imaging plays a key role in this scenario.

The UDMA-TEGDMA photopolymer was prepared in a 3:1 weight ratio and doped with dodecanethiol- (DDT) capped gold nanorods of 25 × 75 or 25 × 85 nm nominal diameter and length. It was found that the presence of the gold nanorods alone (without direct plasmonic excitation) can increase the of the photopolymer by 6-15%.

Various classifications have been published of the common and uncommon anatomic variations of the hepatic arterial distribution. While the classic anatomic pattern of the proper hepatic artery-when it originates from the celiac trunk dividing into left and right branches-represents 50-83% of the described patterns, there are numerous uncommon distributions based on the presence of replaced or accessory hepatic arteries.

We present a case of a young male patient who was brought to the emergency room with abdominal pain, fever, dyspnea and hypoxemia, and was initially oriented as an acute COVID-19 pneumonia. A thoracoabdominal computed tomography (CT) was performed to rule out pneumonia and the abdominal extension of the study revealed a hepatic hydatid cyst with rupture into the abdominal cavity with respiratory distress secondary to an anaphylactic reaction that, if left untreated, may lead to a fatal outcome. An urgent laparotomy was performed with cyst resection.

Physical exam showed a tender left testicle and epididymis with mild swelling. Doppler and contrast enhanced ultrasound revealed a heterogeneous, avascular lesion with hyper vascularized surrounding.

Aim: To assess magnetic resonance enterography (MRE) lesions that persist in patients in long-standing endoscopic remission, analyse their relationship with baseline characteristics, and determine their prognostic implications.
Methods: We systematically reviewed pre- and post-treatment MRE findings in patients with Crohn's disease and severe inflammation (segmental CDEIS ≥ 7 or ulcers in at least one segment) who achieved endoscopic remission (CDEIS < 2) after 1 year of treatment with TNF-inhibitors or autologous haematopoietic stem-cell transplantation.
Secretion of hepatic apoB lipoproteins removes excess triglyceride from the liver. However, the mechanism by which synthesis of apoB, which occurs on the rough endoplasmic reticulum, is coordinated with synthesis of triglyceride, which takes place in the smooth endoplasmic reticulum, is not known. To examine this question, we have manipulated intracellular synthesis of triglyceride and cholesteryl ester in HepG2 cells and determined the impact of these maneuvers on apoB secretion.
