[The regional indicators of male fertility in the Samara oblast and causative factors of their alterations].

The apparent tendency of decreasing male fertility is observed during last years. Basically, this occurrence is related to deterioration of environment conditions, harmful habits and male's organism state. The WHO standards of indicators of spermogram were formulated by averaging the statistical data collected in various countries.

[Possibilities of correction of coronary and myocardial reserves in patients with ischemic heart disease by Angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor perindopril].

Material And Methods: Antianginal and angioprotective effects of perindopril (8 mg/day) were studied in 37 patients (22 men, 15 women, mean age 62,2 +/- 5,3 years) with IHD and functional class (FC) I - III angina.

Metoprolol was examined for its effects on clinical manifestations of the disease, peripheral hemodynamic and myocardial contractile parameters in 46 patients with coronary heart disease. The examination was performed during an acute drug test and continuous treatment for 4 weeks. The efficiency of the therapy was monitored by conventional clinical tools, bicycle ergometric test, studies of intracardiac hemodynamic parameters from echocardiographic evidence.

The use of various doses of metoprolol (spesicor, Leiras, Finland), a selective beta 1-adrenoblocker, in patients with CHD combined with clinical or instrumentally detectable symptoms of bronchial asthma or stage I-II essential hypertension with angina pectoris of I-II functional classes, has shown that metoprolol cardioselective blockade is a relative phenomenon which has definite correlation with a dose, duration of therapy, and the initial status of the bronchopulmonary system. [Clinical and cardiohemodynamic effects of the new long-acting beta-blocker tobanum].

The effects of long-acting beta-adrenoblocker tobanum on the frequency and severity of anginal attacks, bicycle ergometry, echocardiographic parameters of intracardiac hemodynamics, pulse rate, arterial blood pressure were studied in comparison with the respective effects of the short-acting beta-adrenoblocker anaprilin and the long-acting beta-blocker corgard in 45 coronary patients with stable angina of functional classes I through IV. Tobanum produced antianginal effect in 82.2% of cases, and was well tolerated.

Using clinical and instrumental findings, the therapeutic effectiveness, hemodynamic effects and tolerance of the three nifedipin derivatives adalate (FRG), corinfar (GDR) and fenigidin (USSR) were studied in 51 patients. The presence and severity of all developmental anomalies of the heart and major vessels known as tatraology of Fallot may be identified by the echocardiography method in most cases.

[Comparison of the echocardiographic indices of myocardial contractility and of the results of a bicycle ergometer test in chronic ischemic heart disease].

On comparing the results of study of the cardiohemodynamics indices under conditions of submaximum or threshold bicycle-ergometry load with the findings of echocardiography at rest in 64 patients with chronic ischemic heart disease, the authors conclude that echocardiography is a very promising method for ascertaining the cardiac muscular reserve, particularly in those patients with ischemic heart disease in whom the low coronary reserve does not allow the performance of tests under conditions of physical exertion.
