Co-Channel Compatibility Analysis of IMT Networks and Digital Terrestrial Television Broadcasting in the Frequency Range 470-694 MHz Based on Monte Carlo Simulation.

According to Resolution 235 adopted during the World Radiocommunication Conference 2015 (WRC-15) and the preliminary agenda item 1.5 of WRC-2023, the International Telecommunication Union Radiocommunication Sector (ITU-R) has been entrusted to carry out sharing and compatibility studies between broadcasting and mobile services in the frequency range 470-694 MHz in Region 1. This study specifically focuses on evaluating electromagnetic compatibility in potential co-channel sharing scenarios between Digital Terrestrial Television Broadcasting (DTTB) and International Mobile Telecommunications (IMT) systems within the 470-694 MHz frequency band that may arise in the foreseeable future.

Building Health Systems Science Education from the Core Domain of Interprofessional Education at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine.

The Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine (VTCSOM) is a 4-year allopathic medical school in Roanoke, VA. The curriculum is organized into four learning domains: basic science, clinical science, research, and interprofessionalism (IPE). A recent curriculum renewal effort allowed the school to embark upon a redesign of the IPE learning domain to incorporate new core content from health systems science (HSS).

Community breastfeeding attitudes and beliefs.

The cultural norms of a society have a powerful influence over health behavior decisions such as choosing an infant feeding method. The objective of this study was to explore the community breastfeeding perspective by examining breastfeeding attitudes and beliefs, experiences, and behaviors of a U.S.

Professionally mediated peer support and early breastfeeding success.

Social support interventions that incorporate professionally mediated peer support (PMPS) for improved breastfeeding outcomes were compared with no special breastfeeding support. Fifty-five breastfeeding mothers participated. The breastfeeding outcomes of duration, completeness, satisfaction, and exclusive breastfeeding were compared at 6 weeks postpartum among an experimental group that received PMPS, and among younger community (YC) and older community (OC) groups that received no special breastfeeding support.

Measuring physical activity during pregnancy.

Few studies exist that identify a useful self-report measure of physical activity for pregnant women. The purpose of this study was to compare the self-report exercise diary with the pedometer and determine if self-report measurement provided useful physical activity measures during pregnancy. The pregnant women's sleep, parity, and related demographic factors were further analyzed for relationships to the physical activity measures.

Nausea and vomiting in late pregnancy.

Nausea and vomiting in late pregnancy is a little-studied phenomenon. In this study of 116 midwestern women, 32% of the women had nausea and vomiting after 20 weeks gestation. The purpose of this study was to examine demographic, anthropometric, maternal health factors, and pregnancy outcomes in women who had late nausea and vomiting in pregnancy (NVP) and those that did not.
