We have synthetized systematically designed novel hybrids and evaluated their antiproliferative activity against PANC-1 and Fadu cell lines.

Maize is affected by drought and heat, abiotic stress factors that have been encountered more often in recent years in various parts of Europe. In the area of Turda, Romania, extreme temperatures and heat waves combined with an uneven distribution of precipitation have been recorded that had an unfavorable influence on the maize crop. In this study, the ASI (anthesis-to-silking interval), yield, and stability of 35 old and new maize hybrids created at the Agricultural Research and Development Station Turda were studied under drought and heat conditions.

Migrating cells exert forces on the endothelium through cell surface adhesion molecules, such as platelet endothelial adhesion molecule PECAM-1, and this is essential for a successful transmigration. To study PECAM-1-mediated mechanotransduction, we applied PECAM-1-antibody-coated magnetic beads and exerted about 40 pN force on the endothelial monolayer.

Background: Although the number of point-of-care ultrasound devices available in Hungarian primary care practices are increasing due to government funding, their use in day-to-day patient care is limited and unregulated. Our study aimed to evaluate the attitudes and needs of general practitioners (GPs) and patients in Hungary regarding the introduction of bedside ultrasonography in primary care practices.

Two groups were formed (APAC group, Control group), and blood was collected from the animals at preset intervals.
