Lung cancer varies between Caucasians and Asians. There have been differences recorded in the epidemiology, genomics, standard therapies and outcomes, with variations according to the geography and ethnicity which affect the decision for optimal treatment of the patients. To better understand the profile of lung cancer in Southeast Asia, with a focus on India, we have comprehensively reviewed the available data, and discuss the challenges and the way forward.

Extramedullary hematopoisis (EMH) normally occurs in fetal life, but it is pathological in later life and most of the time because of underlying marrow diseases. Sometimes EMH tissue can present with large masses which can cause compressive and constitutional symptoms. They can be wrongly diagnosed as malignancy and pulmonary tuberculosis.

Ganglioneuroma is the benign representative of peripheral neuroblastic tumors, with localized and predominant thoracic presentations in older children. They often have an excellent outcome with surgery alone. A 12-year-old girl presented with an incidentally detected abdominal mass, which was clinicoradiologically a renal mass.
